We bought a Honda XR125 in August 2015, on the basis that it would be possible have a reputable agent to service and repair the vehicle thus giving us peace of mind. We were assured this would be simple. Now, after several weeks of calls not returned, and different stories delaying the first service, we were eventually told that the collection fee is R1500, then reduced to R900, because despite promising to be able to collect, Honda Knysna doesn't have a motorbike trailer. It seems they never did as the bike was delivered on the back of a bakkie and the driver had to lift the bike down - there was no preparation. The bike also ran out of fuel 500m from our house. And finally the riding gloves we bought along with the bike fell apart within a short time.

I took my boat to this Tony a well spoken english guy after he begged me for it told me he would look after it very well and have lots of potential buyers. Said my boat would get me R75000 he even came and collected it from my home. Once the boat was in his possession he then began to tell me its in bad shape and i could expect a maximum if I was very lucky R50000 for it. on day one it was raining and he left it open in the rain I had to call and complain. For the next two months I had to drive buy it every day looking at how it is being neglected dirty the sun baking on it it looked very bad. They made me sign a contract that on the back of the contract lol said I cant take it away for 3 months. I was hoping that he would get it sold but NOTHING. I started to advertise it myself I send loads of potential buyers feedback was it's not looked after and they are charging R65000 for it. If they wanted to rip me off that badly the least they could do was look after my boat its now worth a lot less because of the neglect . Oh Tony even charged me for cleaning it when I pointed out its very dirty he made up other things like starting it lol. I would advise anyone to stay away !!!

I gave my Honda 90hp outboard gearbox to Honda marine Durban to repair. they have been very helpful, within an hour they stripped the gearbox an gave me a quote. I decided to replace the gearbox, paid full amount required for a new gearbox to be imported to south Africa. after 25 days still no gearbox available to import. I contacted various service agents, all of them gave the same reply: Honda marine after sale service does not exist and therefore they don't work on Honda motors and don't service them either due to no parts available.
