I bought a coupon from Wikideals for 2 people for R299. It was for a starter and the main was a choice of steak with a choice of veg. I made the booking and mentioned I had a voucher and would there be a corkage charge which I was informed there would not be. When we arrived we were told that there would be a corkage charge of R60 because we were making use of a voucher. I explained that I had enquired about the corkage but I also knew that Hussars do not charge corkage at all. The manager never came near our table but told waiter to waver the R60. This did not sit well with my husband! The starter we couldn't fault but the steak was sirloin which we ordered medium rare and mine was full of sinue and my husband's sirloin was still mooing and cold. There was no sign of the sauce that is in the advert. We left after paying the waiter a tip and the R60 corkage and we had another voucher which we also gave him as we will not go to that particular Hussars again. Because you have a voucher do not treat people as if they are cheap skates. We regularilly go to Hussars in Willowbridge and have no problem at all with their food. This establishment needs to take the vouchers off Wikideals.
