I fully paid a huge amount of money for 8 new AGM batteries with capacity of 200Ah on 24 August 2018 on the basis that I will receive new batteries as previous. (At my previous order 30 January 2018 from Hydro Solar I experienced good service.) This time my much bigger order just caused nightmare experiences. First: Hydro Solar and Gas delivered 8 batteries of 180 Ah. (I suspected these batteries to be second hand but could not proof it.) Hydro Solar acknowledged that they did not deliver what was ordered after I provided proof. Hydro Solar then promised to replace these batteries with 8 Narada 200Ah batteries as soon as they receive stock. The nightmare continued and waste of time and frustration repeated over and over. I received no feedback on progress for a long time. My numerous attempts to contact them by phone on all available numbers failed. Several times also by email. The times I received email responses after delays, several promises were made and then broken. After more reminders and about two months after original agreed delivery date - 8 Narada AcmeT 200NDT batteries were delivered. I ordered and paid for NEW batteries, but these Narada batteries were end of life batteries! - indicated by number on batteries - r already about 8 years old. At best 2/3 of design life under best (unlikely scenario) float conditions were gone. One of the batteries even had a dead cell. My requests to cancel the transaction and immediately repay the full amount were ignored up to now. The promised date at which the problem - supposedly caused by suppliers (?) - would be sorted out was also again not met. The promise by Whatsapp was: “Hi meneer ons is bewus van die situasie en is besig om dit op te vat met dir verskaffers. Ons behoort teen maandag als uit te sorteer”" My follow-up queries by email is read, but not responded to. (I see there was a similar problem with 2nd hand batteries delivered when new ones were ordered - as reported on Hellopeter on 14 May 2018.) How can Hydro Solar supply these batteries as new, whilst they are many years old? Even worst: one is obviously past end of life - s**** value only. Surely they can check that that batteries received from suppliers are indeed new and not old semi-'repaired' rubbish. Even basic test of batteries before delivery would have made that clear! I've been without new batteries ordered and fully paid for and urgently required for a battery bank for more than 2 months whilst Hydro Solar is still sitting on my many thousand of rands money. The least they can do is to not only apologise but also immediately repay the money and remove the useless stuff they delivered. I try to support small business but I'm extremely disappointed!
