Gutted service with missing parts, rude staff!
Sadly no stars were not an option.
I privately consult clients on their growing requirements, and I ensured all sales were directed through Hortishop. They have the audacity to hold me accountable for items returned by clients(not my problem) and when Arno one of the owners sold me 2 compressor units with missing pieces that I had to source myself. I was told by someone at hortishop it’s not their job to ensure all parts are inside the box. Literal joke. A client I consulted for was abroad and purchased more than R60k worth of equipment and wants to exchange sealed units for items in his shop he actually needs. I called to confirm the exchange of items before coming for an hours drive with my 4 month old son, just to be rejected and spoken to like I had messed up a return, only being the client that made the return, and I was accused for the state it was returned even though my name wasn’t on the invoice. With more than R400k in business brought to hortishop I am mortified by how unprofessional they were and by how I was treated. for someone who has brought this amount of business to this shop and treated this way, I wouldn’t advise anyone to spend a cent there. They may be local but they aren’t for the people. Stay woke people

We accommodated the claims you made during your 1st return a few months ago in good faith, where you stated that the pumps you bought were missing parts, something that NEVER has happened in all the years that we have been selling these (which is why we do not check the contents of each of the 100s of units we receive when buying stock), and were also happy to replace some air-stones which you claimed were broken at the time of purchase, a few days earlier. Despite your dubious claim of missing parts with the pumps and the returned air-stones looking so very old and completely used when returned ( https://hydroponic.co.za/new-air-stones-returned-by-hello-peter-reviewer/ ) , we NEVERTHELESS refunded or exchanged according to your borderline demands at that time.
Coming to your recent attempt at returning items 8 weeks after being purchased, with the only reason being that you don't want them any more, you clearly must have omitted the date of purchase during your call, because we would have told you right then and there that you can't return the items because of how long ago they were purchased, ESPECIALLY bearing in mind the state of the previously returned "new" air-stones from before.
Now, because you didn't get your decrepit way a second time, you have chosen to publicly slander our name, are inciting the public not to purchase from us, and are threatening us with more slander on social media platforms like Instagram. I quote the email we received from you after you published your "review":
"And some of us are well respected in the instagram and Facebook community. Details to follow. You cannot treat people that way and i will happily expose what has happened to me. So others may know what’s expected from this shop."
OUR RETURNS POLICY STATES THAT WE ARE QUITE HAPPY TO TAKE BACK PRODUCTS RETURNED FOR ANY REASON WITHIN 10 DAYS OF PURCHASE.
This is posted in our shop fronts and printed on our sales receipts.
If you buy things, they become YOURS. You unfortunately can't force us to take them back if you don't want them any more, no matter how many times you slander our name on the internet. Sell them to a pawn shop if you want to get rid of them, or use them in your next half a million Rand consultation job.

Not assisting a different customer(and yea it was clarified before I drove through with my 4 month old child is not excusable.)
I absolutely don’t need to sell anything, this is a customer that has spent almost R60k at your store and is among many that will be their last purchase. As for the pumps that becomes his problem not mine.
I have no time or intent to “slander” your business however I do have my constitutional right to freedom of speech, and sharing my experience as factual as it happened. Nothing wrong with that.
