What incompetence and lack of care shown by Hyundai Ladysmith, Our car had a fault which we sent to Hyundai Ladysmith and received a quote which was sent to the insurance company, the insurance company approved some things and not all of it, which was okay as we had to cover the shortfall. Insurance needed a Tax invoice to pay and Hyundai said they can only give Tax invoice after payment, I cc'd both insurance and Hyundai to ask what should be done and the decision was to pay out of pocket and the insurance will pay us as soon as Tax invoice is provided. The insurance gave details on what should be on the Tax invoice, this was 3 weeks prior. The car was fixed and the invoice done incorrectly by Hyundai and that was the start of our frustrations. Darrly who was on the one we were in correspondence with refused to invoice the insurance company stating that they received payment from us and not the insurance, the back and forth was frustrating, so I asked to speak to the manager hoping he would understand that the mistake was on their side, since they did not follow instructions that were given prior to payment. The manager himself Donavan was so stubborn unwilling to listen and understand, said he will have to do a credit note and re-invoice and that is permission that has to come from his head office and will take 3 to 4 days. Anyone who has worked in the finance department will tell you a credit note and re-invoice can be done within 5 minutes and getting approval from head office just to do a credit not is a lie. The emails excuses and calls took an agonizing 3 weeks. I am not surprised why many people choose to drive to Newcastle to service their vehicles. Donavan is always on a power trip to show you he is boss and can do anything just to get you frustrated.

These are most *********** bunch of staff. Arrogant and useless. Unhelpful and cannot even do a simple job as a battery. My van is there for the 2nd day now and all I get is that it is not ready. We will tell you when it is ready. Can they not read??? The battery is not charging. I have a maintenance plan which cost over R20 000 but for what when they cannnot honour it. Or is it that they treat all elderly people with contempt? I am most disgusted with the attitude and lack of assistance.

There is no doubt that the Hyundai Mobeni used car division needs a complete overall. I visited this branch recently on a few occasions. Firstly the used car premises does not lend itself to a conducive sales environment. The vehicles are parked there with no price tags . Cleaning and washing of vehicles are all done in the same parking lot .Staff members walking around aimlessly without a clue .I have been there a few times and never sat before a used car salesperson. It doesn't exist at this branch . Anything you ask them they don't know . Who manages this component? So here's the thing . Where is their management in all of this ? The so called decision makers. No doubt an indictment on their " dealer principal " Staff training needed. Staff must be more knowledgeable about their vehicles . It's non existent at this branch . When you call the switchboard you are transferred to an extension where nobody picks up . This can't be great setvice. NO PROFESSIONALISM. So PLEASE WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE In just over 3 months we will be in 2026 . This can't be great service. The dealership must and can do far better. THE GENERAL PUBLIC , MUST NOT ACCEPT MEDIOCRITY AS THE NORM .
