What incompetence and lack of care shown by Hyundai Ladysmith, Our car had a fault which we sent to Hyundai Ladysmith and received a quote which was sent to the insurance company, the insurance company approved some things and not all of it, which was okay as we had to cover the shortfall. Insurance needed a Tax invoice to pay and Hyundai said they can only give Tax invoice after payment, I cc'd both insurance and Hyundai to ask what should be done and the decision was to pay out of pocket and the insurance will pay us as soon as Tax invoice is provided. The insurance gave details on what should be on the Tax invoice, this was 3 weeks prior. The car was fixed and the invoice done incorrectly by Hyundai and that was the start of our frustrations. Darrly who was on the one we were in correspondence with refused to invoice the insurance company stating that they received payment from us and not the insurance, the back and forth was frustrating, so I asked to speak to the manager hoping he would understand that the mistake was on their side, since they did not follow instructions that were given prior to payment. The manager himself Donavan was so stubborn unwilling to listen and understand, said he will have to do a credit note and re-invoice and that is permission that has to come from his head office and will take 3 to 4 days. Anyone who has worked in the finance department will tell you a credit note and re-invoice can be done within 5 minutes and getting approval from head office just to do a credit not is a lie. The emails excuses and calls took an agonizing 3 weeks. I am not surprised why many people choose to drive to Newcastle to service their vehicles. Donavan is always on a power trip to show you he is boss and can do anything just to get you frustrated.
Nombali Maseko, a lady who works at the claims department, talked me out of my frustrations, help to to solve my problem with such professionalism. I honestly appreciate her, if not for her, I would still be struggling with no car for the upcoming holidays.
