I am writing to formally lodge a serious complaint regarding the treatment I have received from Hyundai Stellenbosch concerning a vehicle I purchased from your dealership in 2023. I bought a pre-owned Hyundai vehicle directly from Hyundai Stellenbosch, trusting the reputation of Hyundai as a reputable and reliable brand. As a first-time car owner, I re**** entirely on your expertise and guidance. Within 3 months of ownership, I began experiencing excessive engine oil consumption. Over the course of approximately two years, I was forced to frequently top up engine oil — at multiple times(3) bottles per week — despite there being no visible oil leaks. This issue was repeatedly reported during services conducted at Hyundai Stellenbosch. On the 24th of November 2025, prior to a long-distance trip from the Western Cape to the Eastern Cape, I once again raised this concern during a service appointment and explicitly requested that the oil issue be properly inspected and resolved. Despite this, I was assured the vehicle was safe and was advised to proceed with my journey. During this trip, the vehicle required an abnormal amount of oil. On our way to Eastern Cape I poured 10 bottles of oil ,even on my way back .Things worsened on our return journey to Cape Town on 31 December.Shortly after passing Laingsburg the vehicle became unstable, shook violently, lost power, and placed my passengers — including my children — and myself in a dangerous situation on the road. I checked and the oil was empty ,luckily a traffic officer had to assist us with oil.Still on my way to Cape Town ,the car was not moving smoothly I had to stop at the petrol station in Dedorance ,the petrol attendant warned that engine wiring appeared damaged, which posed a serious safety risk. On 5 January 2026, I returned the vehicle to Hyundai Stellenbosch. What followed was weeks of poor communication, ignored calls, and no proactive updates. On 19 January I went there myself and the manger told me that she’ll call me back on th 20 but I didn’t receive my call me,I even called them myself .Eventually, I received an invoice demanding approximately R6900 for damaged car parts, despite the fact that this defect was longstanding, repeatedly reported, and never properly addressed by Hyundai. I decided to not respond to the email then they called on the 22 second of January asking whether what my perspective is on the email. I refused to accept responsibility for a fault that clearly pre-existed and was known to your service department, I demanded to collect my vehicle. Upon collection, I discovered that parts of the engine had been removed, certain components appeared damaged, and the vehicle was returned to me in a worse condition than when I delivered it. I was further forced to pay for private towing at my own expense. This entire experience reflects a severe lack of accountability, poor service delivery, and disregard for customer safety. I believe Hyundai Stellenbosch failed in its duty of care, failed to diagnose a known defect over multiple services, and exposed my family and me to unnecessary danger. I hereby formally request: 1. A full investigation into the handling of my vehicle by Hyundai Stellenbosch 2. Repairs to be completed at Hyundai’s cost 3. Reimbur*****t for towing and related expenses 4. A written response outlining how Hyundai intends to resolve this matter Should this matter not be resolved promptly and fairly, I will have no choice but to escalate the issue to Hyundai South Africa, the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa (MIOSA), the National Consumer Commission, and pursue legal action if necessary. I trust Hyundai will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and respond accordingly. Yours sincerely, Sibongiseni Nondalana

Sales Manager Keanen services is absolutely ****** discriminating rude Don't buy from them. Reached out to them in last year to buy a car, the 1st sales person never got back then the 2nd sales person assisted us but with all the holidays is delayed our vehicle purchase. Eventually we were approved for brand new at 274k. We were not happy with the deal and I informed the sales manager who advised us there's nothing else he can do. This we found to be incorrect information he communicated to me as the other Hyundai branches could assist us with a car within our budget. Eventually the stellenbosch sales manager came back to me saying that he can do it however it was still not within the budget we wanted. I then received a call from him he was extremely rude ****** spoke down to me like I don't know or like I'm uneducated person. I asked him his there no demo or one with low mileage he can do at our budget he said No. I'm he was clearly saying he doesn't want our business lol. Don't support this branch! The sales manager is ****** and my experience was utterly disgusting and most of all disappointed. Furthermore wasted our time as it's almost 1 month since we app****. We are now in contact with another Hyundai in Western Cape to assist us. They have been very helpful. I have also received calls from Joburg and Durban offering their services. Hyundai South Africa please look into the sales manager at your Stellenbosch branch.

It's been 2 months now after purchase and I have not received my spare keys. I was informed that the key was faulty so they are making a new one . What more frustrating is that they don't send communication to keep me posted and apparently the salesman Ethan no longer works There.Ive been sending emails with no response .I'm very disappointed with the service
