Warning about Wefix – Do NOT trade your phone for cash
My name is Amukelani Mathebula, and I want to warn people about Wefix. Do not trade your phone to Wefix, especially if you need cash urgently.
Before you hand over your phone, they communicate very nicely. But after they receive your phone, everything changes. You are the one who has to beg for updates.
They gave me a very unfair and extremely low offer. I accepted it only because I was desperate. Since 29 January 2025, they collected my phone, but I have still not received my payment.
My Transaction ID is 308777.
I contacted them many times and asked them to:
Make the payment
Send me proof of payment
Tell me which account they paid into
I have sent more than 14 emails, and I also tried WhatsApp, but now they are ignoring my messages completely.
Up to today, I still have no proof of payment and no money. I am struggling financially because of this.
Wefix, if you need money for an emergency, do not trade your phone with them.
If there was a 0-star option, I would give them 0 stars. They are not reliable, and I regret sending my phone to them. Amukelani Mathebula

We would like to clarify the timeline of your trade-in to ensure the process is accurately reflected.
Your device was collected by our courier on 29 January and delivered to our assessment facility late afternoon on Friday 30 January. Please note that our grading facility does not operate on a weekend.
It is also to be noted that our standard assessment turnaround time is 24–48 hours from receipt, excluding weekends, therefore, your device was prioritised and assessed on the morning of Monday 02 February, well within our SLA.
During the assessment, it was noted that the device condition differed from the “like new” condition that you selected during the online evaluation, as there was evident wear and tear on the device. And in line with the trade-in process, a revised quote was sent to you.
You accepted the revised quote yesterday.
Please note that our standard payment turnaround time after quote acceptance is about 5 working days. But your payment is being processed today.
Furthermore, we have remained in communication with you throughout this process, including multiple messages sent to you yesterday from our customer support team.
We understand that waiting for updates can be frustrating and appreciate your patience while the standard trade-in process was followed, well within our turnaround times.
