Extremely Poor Service – Christmas Lunch 2025
We attended the 2025 Christmas lunch at this lodge as day visitors and had an unacceptable experience that does not justify the price charged. • No welcome or guest assistance upon arrival • Incorrect table setup (6 seats instead of 8 booked) • No assigned waiter/hostess or explanation of the meal process • Guests left standing due to lack of chairs and place settings • Slow and inconsistent responses to repeated requests Despite the lunch being advertised as a buffet, guests were limited to one serving, after which we were informed that the food had finished. This affected multiple guests and caused visible dissatisfaction. Staff showed little concern or professionalism when questioned. Additionally, hygiene standards were extremely poor. The venue was overwhelmed with flies, and dirty plates and glasses were left unattended on tables for long periods. At R560 per person, this experience was unacceptable and reflects serious operational and management failures. We will not be returning and expect accountability for the poor service delivered.

Worst experience ever
I booked for a weekend in December and paid on the website, the website did not indicate that they were full so my payment went through l later received an email that they were full and l must chose another date, l obviously couldn’t so l opted for a refund and that’s when problems started, l was being sent from pillar to post, a story after story, they said finance was on it, and later said finance was on leave, to their system being down any excuse you could think of. The process was frustrating and they would even ignore my calls and not get back to me with feedback as promised they finally paid 2 months later and when they finally did they didn’t pay all my money in full

Imvelo Safari Lodge
Imvelo Safari Lodge is truly one of the best gems in Africa. My better half and I recently attended a wedding (27 April) there and had an unforgettable experience. The staff, both junior and senior, provided exceptional service and were always available to assist us with anything we needed. Despite having more than 200 guests to look after, the team at Imvelo Safari Lodge did an excellent job of keeping everyone happy and comfortable. We would love to renew our vows at this stunning lodge if it wasn't for the distance. If you're looking for an unforgettable African safari experience, we highly recommend Imvelo Safari Lodge. Compliments to the chef, will be back!

Best service ever
Last weekend it was my birthday we took a trip to Imvelo safari game it was lit,the place it's self is very beautiful then you enter their starlet wow very beautiful clean specious and the friendly staff from manager Cosmo and the staff Palesa, forgot the Xhosa lady name they gave us the best service that one felt very welcome.Thank you Mvelo
