On Wednesday 18/03/2026 at 09:53 I sent money from my Capitec account to my Standard Bank instant money wallet the sum of R6000, on the instant money app it shows eft deposit takes 24-48hrs if it is not from Standard Bank, now its Monday 23/03/2026 it has been 72hrs and the money haven’t reflected in to my instant money account. I sent proof of payment on Friday 20/03/2026 to ***, and the only response I got was just an automated reply .
I called the instant money department 4times so far
First call answered by a lady unfortunately was cut off due to network
Second call by a gentleman that said he was escalating my call and gave me call ref no *** he was great and calm he explained a bit.
Third call was on Saturday 21/03/2026 and the lady on the line dismissed me by saying the money is still within the 72 hours turn around time, it gave me hope since 21st was a holiday
4th call was this morning after 72hrs lapsed no money in my wallet,my call answered by the same gentleman I got the second time and he tried his best to speak with back office only to get “their still working on your escalation “.
I delayed my travel, now I’m also missing work due to this inconvenience
This will be definitely the last time I’d use the instant money service nor even recommend anyone to use it.
