'Rip off'
<p>Early this year l registered for my executive assistant course with the institute of secretarial studies and s****s for business development situated in haartbeesport pretoria.The owners of the the lnstitute are ulindi fourie and Julie Cohen.l paid all my fees and submitted my assignments but l was not given a chance to write my exams nor did l get my certificate.l'm so heartbroken because as a cashier by profession l was only trying to advance myself and my hard earned cash was also taken away from me.l sent them several emails throughout the year and no response received.Their landline is not working. 012 376 4282 and email **********

No Exam Results, No Certificate
<p>I am so glad there are others before me who complained as I feared for my life at some stage, they know where you live and they know your work address and they are very threatening in their way of communication. This company took my money, gave me the poorest quality study material - the type you can get together from internet tutorials, not South African based , american information, and not NQF aligned. I wrote exams just to never, ever get feedback or the certificate. I cannot believe they are still operating, I have e-mails where they threatening to sue me and come after me. Do not study with these people, this is indeed a scam institute. Go study through an accredited institutions, the places you know.</p>

No Exam Results, No Certificate

Very BAD Service...Payment made...no study material or feedback( Ulindi Fourie/Julie Cohen)
<p>I contacted Institute of Secreterial Studies and was assisted by Ulindi Fourie in April 2016. The emails went back and forth between Ulindi and myself and I finally decided on a course that I wanted to study. I was given the enrollment form and study outline via email from Ulindi. Ulindi and I chatted via email(about 6 or 7 emails during the month of April 2016). I made payment for the course in full on the 25th April and sent the proof of payment to Ulindi. The enrollment form states that study material takes maximum 5 working days to be sent to me. On the 04th May 2016 I had not recieved any correspondence from Institute of Secreterial Studies nor any study material. I tried calling the number listed, and I recieved an automated voice message which advises to email ********** On the 11th of May I tried again to email Ulindi ********** no response and after which I managed to get an email address for ********** . Please can Julie Cohen or Chantell or somebody from Institute of Secreterial Studies advise me what is going on?????</p>

Not adhering to promise of service being rendered
We have registered two of our employees last year (2015) to perform the 'Receptionist and Frontline distance learning program' course. This company were quick enough to reply and accept the registered attendees and to receive the payment in full for the course to be done throughout the year. When they submitted their exams for marking, we have not heard from them since. They do not respond to endless emails being sent to them, and when you try to contact them via telephone there is always a voice prompt saying that they are experiencing communication problems. I found their address (112 Scott Street, Hartbeespoort) and wanted to drive to their location. I did however first phoned one of the neighbouring businesses to find out if they are situated at the address. It was confirmed to me that there is a Security company in that premises. How does one go about resolving an issue like this? I have seen another complaint to involve the Ombudsman, which might be the only route left.

Loads of Learning Material at a minimal price
I was a student approximately 7 years ago, I'm furthering my studies with them and as such needed some Academic records to give to my HR Department. Everyone went out of their way to make sure that everything was found, and given to me in as timely a manner as possible. It's nice to know there are people that will help, and care in today's world. Slightly challenging not being able to reach them on the phone lines, but hey this is South Africa, they cant help their lines were stolen and Telkom aren't replacing lines and actually where they are situated Neotel and other providers cant assist them either. Nevertheless, email works fine for me as I always get what I want from them. Im sure if they charged excessively more, they could get a better premises and all the amenities that go along with it but I guess they are here to empower us at a minimal cost and not all drive big black cars. Well done Girls. Keep it up amongst all the challenges.
