My daughter needs to register with another institution and their closing date is today. I have everything been requesting a Transcript showing the credit allocation from the school since October last year. I keep calling and being directed around the institution. My emails have not been responded to and calls not answered. Today I threatened the receptionist of the Durban campus with legal proceedings. A lady by the name of Jill called me within 30 minutes only to inform me she will call me within an hour. The hour has come and gone and still no response. If my daughter does not get registered today, I will be forced to seek legal counsel.

I had a very disappointing experience with the International Hotel School, specifically with one of the consultants who returned my call last week after I requested a callback. When she called, I politely asked if she could call me back the following day as I was busy at the time. Instead of respecting that, she began speaking about NSFAS, which I found confusing because I did not ask about NSFAS. When I then asked a simple and reasonable question about whether the institution offers any form of financial aid (knowing that it is a private institution), she responded abruptly by saying it is a private institution and then dropped the call while I was still speaking. I found this extremely rude and unprofessional. As a prospective student seeking information, I expected basic courtesy and clear communication. Dropping a call on a potential student who is asking a genuine question is unacceptable and left a very bad impression of the institution. I hope management addresses the way prospective students are spoken to, as this experience does not reflect well on the school

Awkwardest thing ever - I called the Admissions office. Christopher answered the phone. I asked him a question, then he turned to his colleague to have a chat, I waited on the line, then he put me on hold, then dropped the called. I have never in my life! - LOL.

I app**** at international hotel school to do culinary arts apprenticeship, to gain necesary skills to run my resturant, however after successfully completing my interview with a restrant in Sandton that agreed to place me in blue hills, I was then referred to youth @ work to sign a contract. On the contract, I was assigned an occupation in a department I dis not apply for "food and beverage assistant" which I did emphasize I already have experience in this field, and it would not be fair for me to repay the R55,000 loan which is due to be deducted from my account every month to learn the basica. This issue was handled accordingly and I feel for students who fall in this trap without clear knowledge of what they're getting into. As a qualified conduct Facilitator, Assessor, and Moderator, I know what is expected in learning, and I had high expectations from this institution, but very disappointed.

My daughter Mikayla was supposed to write her exams last year December 2022 but the portal was closed and she mailed for assistance and no-one replied and due to no correspondence she could not write and she was informed to re-write in February 2023, but there is a fee to be paid which I do not agree as it is not her fault. She tried going on the portal once again now in February, but with no luck. I am very unhappy with the service delivery because I paid in full. I feel robbed because Tracy promised to assist, but to no avail. All this waiting is just delaying Mikayla in so many ways. If this is how International Hotel School is treating clients than I would rather they reimburse me so that I can go search for a school that stands on their word and not just make empty promises

I was initially told I could attend a class on 03 July which I fully paid for on the Friday 02 July 2022 I was told the classes were cancelled and the Chef could start the following week. When I followed up I was told the classes would start in August I informed them I would not be available and I need a refund. The International Hotel School Pretoria expects me to wait 6 to 8 weeks for a refund. It only takes one if immediate payment is done or three days if one is paying to a different bank. Are they now using government system or what I need my money else I will approach the small claims court !!!I want my R2999.00 back

This seems to be a scam. Paid R43 000 in 2018 and yet now been told that 1st year not completed. NO FEEDBACK until we follow up. Yet they place students at the worst places and they cant even pay their student loans. Please research properly before making decision.
