We bought my wedding band at Jack Fredman Jewellers Eastgate. It was the perfect size, so there was no need for resizing. However, they were willing to resize it if I felt uncomfortable with the fit. I gained weight, which made the ring uncomfortably tight. I went back to have it resized. The consultant didn’t take the time to properly assess my band. She simply looked at it and said, “It won’t be possible to stretch it,” but they still took it in to be cleaned and refined.
My question is, why was it possible to resize the ring when I first bought it, but now, years later, resizing is no longer an option?
We also asked how we could address the issue since I can no longer wear it. Even if it meant they took it back for resale and gave me a discount to purchase a new band, they couldn’t assist. Now, I’m left with a wedding band that is no longer useful to me
