re-posting from Google Maps: Have been shopping with Jackson's for years and the recent manager at Bryanston has an attitude with me when I request for them to provide chicken hearts that were not shelved and being taken out from truck. They wanted me to wait an exorbitant amount of time without them actually doing anything to speed up the process because I traveled from Pretoria just for these items. They did nothing to listen to me and did everything to provide excuses. I don't need long lines of excuses, I just need someone to actively check when I can receive the stock as I dont have an hour to wait for them. I have raised a complaint with the next level management in command and they blame me for my attitude. They are getting away with treating customers badly and blaming the customer. Update 1: The person I raised a complaint against, said that I swore him, which is an outright lie. I will not deal with Jackson going forward. Just ludicrous how they can treat customers and outright lie. There is no going back to a retailer that has this level of ********* behaviour from staff. Update 2: Management now says I am abusive to the team. These are deeply unfounded accusations. I have done nothing but ensure my delivery was done in a matter that did not spoil items nor delivered at an odd hour. This is really aggravating.

So this morning I decided to go with my husband to Jackson’s for the first time.I’ve heard about the place and I thought, why not, let’s drive and give it a shot. I order a berry bowl with nuts and yogurt. And ask for extra banana. (Its a fresh food/produce shop after all)Out waiter informed us that the kitchen and doesn’t have bananas - they only have frozen banana so I couldn’t add any as they didn't have ordinary bananas. Are you kidding me. I can see them - in the shelf. I stood up and measured how far it was from the my table to the massive stand full of banana’s sold INSIDE. 12m. Just 12m. So I took bananas - walked to the tills and bought them to add to my dish. Wow. Just wow.

My smoothy arrived with small fragments of plastic inside, the lid of the milk seemed to be put through the juicer, the waitress thought it was amusing and decided to laugh as if the staff was already aware of this. Needless to say I had brought my own daily greens sachet ,that Jacksons were requested to add to there smoothly, please note the store to does sell this daily greens sachet. Nonetheless I did not want to drink the contaminated smoothly. Talking to the manager he was not able to resolve this issue, so one asked to see the owner Mr Jackson himself . Mr Jackson the owner refused meet me and gave instructions to not open the stores daily greens products as the manager says it would be to expensive to open a new product for one sachet . I feel like my own mental and physical health would be far more valuable then a stores daily green products. I am very unhappy with this service and feel like my health and safety is not important to this company

We had an absolutely awful meal there (22.03). So did the table next to us (who also sent there food back). The manager said "The chef is still learning". Which is unacceptable for a restaurant like this. My burger first came raw. When it came back: it was a patty, a slice of unmelted cheese, and wasabi. Nothing else, the wasabi completely overpowered everything and there was no balance in the burger. My wife's steak looked like blade steak- terribly thing, stringy and tough. The table next to us send their meal back and also had a terrible meal. I work around the corner and am supremely disappointed at the quality of the food and manager. I would rather eat anywhere else. May be the vegan food is better- stay away from the meat as the may "still learning".

I am an executive chef who launched a niche tiramisu manufacturing business 9 months ago. I did some thorough research on whether anyone was making a gluten-free tiramisu. I was surprised that no-one was. I searched the web to try and source gluten-free ladyfinger biscuits which are an integral part of any tiramisu. I discovered that there is a business in Cape Town that indeed does make them. I asked the owner if she supplies any outlets who stock the biscuits. She rep**** that she does supply Jacksons real food market. The next day I drove out to the Kyalami store to purchase enough biscuits to make up a sample and cost it. While I was there I noticed a lady whom I thought may work for Jacksons. I approached her introduced myself, told her about the gluten-free tiramisu. She (Charmaine Marchesi) thought the idea was amazing and explained that she would introduce me to the store manager (Chantelle van der Westhuizen), so that I could chat to her regarding the possibility of making up of samples for her to taste. We spoke for a while and Charmaine said "please arrange a date for delivery of the samples so that she and the owner Gary Jackson can taste the products and then decided if they are good enough to be in their stores. I arranged to see her the following Wednesday. I arrived at the store on the day, myself, Charmaine and Chantelle sat at a table, I opened the cooler box at put the tiramisu variants on the table for them to taste. They both stated that the tiramisu's were delicious, and Chantelle asked me if she can keep the extra units for Gary to taste. I rep**** sure, and asked to please give me feedback on their thoughts regarding the products. About a week went by and I had not heard from her, so I sent her a WhatsApp asking her how things went. She did not reply, I then sent Charmaine a Whatsapp and asked her if she had any knowledge of what their opinions were of the samples. She rep**** that she is not the buyer however she would ask Chantelle to call me. Again 4-5 days went by without hearing from Chantelle. I decided to call her myself, she said that she had been very busy and she would like to know if I am prepared to set up a wet tasting table for customers entering a nd exiting the store to taste. I agreed and asked her to let me know which day would suit this exercise best. She asked me to call her the following week to confirm a day. I called her and she suggested that the coming Saturday would be a good day to do the wet tasting. The following day she sent me a WhatsApp to ask me about pricing, I rep**** and never heard from her for another week. I contacted Charmaine and explained to her that I will not tolerate being made a fool of. I have been in the hospitality industry for 32 years and know one thing for sure you can never satisfy everyone with your products. Charmaine pointed out very clearly that Jacksons does not do business this way and treat people disrespectfully. The very next day Chantelle called me and apologized, and then asked to send her images of the packaging I would use so that she can be satisfied with it. I drove to Kya Sands the following day to source the tubs and paddles fort the tasting. I sent her a photo of the products and to this day I have never heard from her or anyone else at Jacksons. The irony here is if you did not like the products why not just say so , don't stuff your face and say how great they were, and worst of all ignore the supplies right to honest feedback and a way forward if there is one. Months have gone by and I did not attempt to contact her again. On Friday the 1st of November I emailed Charmaine and in that email included some very, personal, painful and debilitating mental health issues which I have been trying to deal with on a daily basis since early childhood. The source of these mental health issues were caused by massive traumatic events which went untreated for 37 years. The primary causes of my 4 mental health disorders severe abuse (psychological, emotional physical and ***ual). My psychologist explained that being treated the way I was by Chantelle is akin to psychological and emotional abuse to those of us like me. These mental health issues have led to 5 suicide attempts over the last 3 years. The following day I emailed confirmation reports from doctor and psychologist reports confirming my mental and physical health issues. I have written this not hoping that that Jacksons will feel bad and decide to do business with me, I simply sent the original email to Charmaine to find out if Jackson's is willing to pay for the samples I supp**** them, this is simply in line with recalling that Chantelle did say she would pay for the sample. To that I rep**** we can add the amount to the invoice when you place your first order. Charmaine did say I wish you had notified me of this outstanding amount earlier. I did and do sincerely appreciate the fact that Charmaine did ask me if I would like to rather chat about the email contents. I thanked her for this and expressed my gratitude to her for her empathy and compassion. The real reason I contacted her was simply because my business had a quiet month and I was short of funds for my medications. For the longest time I have always accepted that my products must be based on merit, and not on pity. So with this being said I hope you will understand even if just for a second that because one has severe mental health issues does not mean that deserve to be treated with contempt and disdain! Charmaine sent me a WhatsApp expressing her sentiments on what she had read regarding my mental health issues. I thanked her for her this. In another message she asked me if it was okay for her forward my email to Gary and Chantelle, I gave her permission to do so. It is imperative that I explain why I sent Charmaine this aforementioned email in the fi

Kyalami Jackson’s is not what it used to be. The staff are extremely rude, lazy and prioritise chit chat over customer service. I have had 4 consecutive bad experiences hoping for change but no luck. Their food is delicious, their customer service is not.

Their Bryanston branch is amazing. The store is loaded with things for every diet. Prices are not bad considering the quality and range. Their restaurant is amazing. Food is delicious and suits my dietary needs. Coffee is equally amazing.
