Absconded with deposit
Koos Oostuizen the owner of JD Tiling, besides absconding with prepayment money and leaving the renovation work in my house unfinished has lied extensively to achieve this. Subsequently I also found out that he is blacklisted. I summoned him repeatedly to meet with me and it never materialised. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Koos Oostuizen the owner of JD Tiling, besides absconding with prepayment money and leaving the renovation work in my house unfinished has lied extensively to achieve this. Subsequently I also found out that he is blacklisted. I summoned him repeatedly to meet with me and it never materialised. I would never recommend him to anyone.

Update on JD Tiling
Post the last report on Hello Peter with respect to JD Tiling. I am happy to say, Koos and his team have engaged with all owners, trustees and myself within the complex and has completed the work that was paid for. Koos personally contacted me to provide me with all the detail from his side and the issue resolved. The level of sincerity and professionalism displayed by Koos was great. Thank you Koos for everything and apologies for any offence that may have been personally directed to you - glad the job is done.

Failure to complete work, absconding with deposit
JD Tiling and Renovations (Koos Oosthuizen) was contracted to do work at our complex in November last year. Work commenced in February with over R40000 being paid to them as a deposit. To date the work has not been completed and they have left a deep hole uncovered in the middle of the complex driveway that poses a risk to our children as well as the fact that the one unit cannot use their garage. Koos is non-responsive to calls and messages and has in principle run off with the money. A stern word of caution when looking at this contractor and this is evident in his invoicing that it has come to light he has no VAT number or even a company registration. Be Warned.
