I had such a great time purchasing my firearm at Kalahari Arms, they made it an experience. The staff are committed to great service and are not only very friendly but also extremely knowledgeable. I took my son with me and we love everything about this store, from the large selection to the onsite shooting range. The staff are always making sure that everyone is getting the service they need and that the clients are happy. Well done to Kalahari Arms for employing such remarkable staff.

For starters the customer experience is horrible!! (For lack of a better word) Don't expect this bunch to keep you up to date with the process of your order, to make things worse if you put a deposit down you won't receive the full amount back regardless of the circumstances at hand, even if it happens to be the biggest pandemic we has seen in years that has influenced the deal, or your cash flow. I will NEVER recommend this company to my worst enemy! It's pathetic! Bottom line! Best believe I Will be going to all social media platforms.....

instruction - fit silencer - gun came back - pathetic gunsmith work - confront the owner - he is extremely aggressive - Send gun to professional riflemakers for a complete report - this came back - center hole of silencer is misaligned/skew , loose aluminium shavings in silencer , debatable if it is a new silencer , silencer go skew over the barrel scratch barrel and remove the blueing , thread misaligned - not concentric with the barrel - professional opinion of riflemaker - work was done by an unqualified incompetent person with no regard for safety and the subsequent catastrophic consequences - they recommend that this rifle NOT be used as a result of the possible catastrophic consequences. Result - barrel must be cut by 16mm and new thread must be cut - new silencer and barrel to be re-blued - I have paid Kalahari upfront for all the work - to fix kalahari's mess and for compiling the report amounts to R9 065.00 - Kalahari does not come to the party - be aware and stay away

Good Evening

I just came back from a worthless hour of cruising through slow moving traffic in order to reach Kalahari Arms just before they were closing at 18:00. They are situated next to Beyers Naudee drive in Honey Crest Centre within the Randpark Ridge area which is an opposite direction from where I live should I be driving from office. This means that I had to take an hour detour to go to them before heading back home after I'm done.

Before I went there, I logged on to their website as well as on Google Maps to see when their opening and closing hours are. According to their website and Google Maps, their closing hours are 18:00 on week days (which was today). I also decided to call them to make 100% sure about their opening and closing hours as well as informing them that I'll be on my way hoping that they'll still be able to assist should I arrive 5 minutes late. Needless to say, they never answered the phone when I tried to call them two times one hour before. Anyways, I've already had in mind exactly what I wanted to buy and I never expected them to stay open to assist me after their allocated closing time which is 18:00. Well, luckily they never had to as I managed to reach them on time (17:50) despite sitting 45 minutes in traffic. However, I sadly came to a realisation that they were already closed 5 minutes before I got there. According to the guy in the Barber shop next to them, the manager already left 15 minutes before their closing time.

I think it is unwise, unprofessional and very inconsiderate for a manager to close his store 15 minutes before their mandatory closing time, especially if I tried to call them an hour before where there was no answer.

I would appreciate a feedback from the Manager of Kalahari Arms to listen to his side of a story and if I don't hear any feedback by next week Tuesday, or even should they contact me and not come up with a legitimate reason for breaking their own protocol (or should I say, "code of conduct"), I will find ways to escalate the matter.

Hope you understand.

My Contact details:

Cell: **********

Email: **********
Wilhelm Sonntag

Have a good weekend

I handed my rifle in at Kalahari Arms for the fitment of a brand new silencer. When I got my rifle back, the threads cut into the rifle were damaged as well as the threads on the silencer. I can only assume that the thread cut into the rifle barrel was of a poor standard and that both threads were damaged by cross threading as the silencer thread was different to what they normally use and not verified before the barrel thread was cut. The thread protector supplied also did not fit. After complaining to Willie du Toit, he was quite aggressive and responded by saying that the thread was dirty. The rifle was also fired without my permission as the discolouration of the burn marks were very evident on the silencer. Photo's can be supplied of all the claims.
The public should be made aware that Kalahari Arms do not value their clients. Suggest to use alternative, reputable arms dealers.

After selling me a completely unsafe rifle, they refused to refund me my money, and told me to speak to their lawyer. Martin (the manager) stalled the process continuously and refused to take my calls. A completely unethical and unprofessional business. My rifle is a tool of my trade (game ranger). I feel completely taken advantage of. I spent 21 000 and it is my right to be refunded.
