On 6 Jan 2016 I took my ARAI Tour cross helmet to Kawasaki Centurion to have it repaired and new inners fitted. They sent it to Bikewise which is the ARAI agents in South Africa and affiliated to Kawasaki SA. Paulo from Bikewise phoned me two weeks later and asked what I wanted done to the helmet. I had given Kawasaki a printed form with all the instructions but I again explained what I wanted done to my helmet. I asked him if the helmet was worth refurbishing and he confirmed that it was and that he would get it done soonest. I eventually got the helmet back after more than 4 months on 12 May. Problems included: No Glue in stock. We never damaged your chin rubber it had to be you or Centurion Kawasaki! (Ryan Robertson in effect calling me a liar) And the best one: “Your helmet is past its safe lifespan of 5 to 7 years” (my helmet was last manufactured in 2007. NINE YEARS ago) but they refurbished it regardless! So now I may use it as a doorstop or paperweight. Ridiculous and a complete waste of a few thousand rand and lots of mails! Thanks to Theunis and Bianca at Kawasaki Lifestyle Centurion. You guys rock!
