Worst worst,workers here don't care .first arrive late then open an hour later then take time to help people.People always complaining about the poor service from this place and now I have got to experience it .

I have lost my ID and I went to the police station for affidavit and came to the branch for m id applications I am told to book an appointment online I'm telling them that everytime I try booking the appointment no slot available I am told to keep on trying and I'm asking even if it's next year the guy said yes or I must go to Cape Town branch for walk-ins I'm on crutches unemployed how must I get to Cape Town branch what is this branch for then what's the use of having an id when home affairs can't help us with id documents, I asked for a manager I'm sitting in the cold with my broken leg he's is nowhere to be find all I know I will sit here till they close

Upgrade to a smarter Gmail Secure, fast & organized email OPEN Sent Mail POOR SERVICE AND UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF N nikelwa kolanisi to hacc 0 minutes agoDetails I WAS AT MAKHAZA DHA, THE SERVICE I RECEIVED WAS SOOOO BAD. I WAS IN THE QUEUE FROM 3AM, I WAS THE 10TH PERSON. THERE WERE PEOPLEWHO WERE QUEUEING FOR PEOPLE THAT WERE IN BED AT THEIR HOMES, 1 PERSON SQUEEZE MORE THAN 5 PEOPLE AND CHARGE THEM R100 EACH. THE OFFICE WAS OPENED AT 8:00. THE STAFF IS UNPROFESSIONAL, I HAD TO WAIT FOR 10 MINUTES BEFORE I WAS ASSISTED. THE AGENTS WERE CHATTING TO EACH OTHER. THE ONE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ASSISTING ME WAS DISCUSSING HER PERSONAL ISSUES, TELLING THE OTHERS ABOUT HER BOYFRIEND'S CAR THAT HAD A MACHANICAL BREAKDOWN AND REQUIRED R9000. THE ENTIRE STAFF WERE ON THEIR FEET LISTENING TO HER. WHEN SHE FINALLY DECIDED TO GO THROUGH MY PAPERWORK, SHE TOOK 5 MINUTES TO GO THROUGH EACH PAGE AS SHE WAS STILL DISCUSSING HER PERSONAL ISSUES. I WAS SENT TO THE POLICE STATION TO GO STAMP AN AFFIDAVIT AND WAS ALSO REFERRED TO COURT FOR A DIVORCE DECREE. I DROVE TO MITCHELL'S PLAIN, UPON ARRIVAL WITH THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS I WAS ADVISED TO COME BACK THE NEXT DAY SINCE IT IS LATE. MIND YOU THE THIME WAS 11:28. THE STAFF DOESN'T HAVE NAME TAGGS(WHY)? I ASKED FOR A SUPERIOR AND WAS ADVISED THAT HE IS NOT AVAILABLE. ASKED FOR HIS NAME AND WAS ADVISED THAT HE IS MR MANGCOBA. IN THE SAME QUEUE THERE'S AN LADY THAT SHE WAS HERE THE DAY BEFORE AND WAS TOLD TO COME THE FOLLOWING DAY WHICH TODAY. TODAY SHE WAS REQUESTED AN AFFIDAVIT, SHE WAS ALSO TOLD TO COME BACK ON MONDAY. SHE'S COMING FROM FAR, SHE'S UNEMPLOYED, WHERE IS SHE SUPPOSED TO GET THE MONEY TO COME TO HOME AFFAIRS 3 DAYS IN A ROW??? IS THIS THE BEST DHA CAN DO? EMPLOYING *********** STAFF? WHAT HAPPENED TO EMPHATY AND UBUNTU? WHY ARE WE VOTING KANTI IF WE'RE STILL GETTING THIS KIND OF SERVICE. THIS NEEDS TO BE URGENTLY ADDRESSED!!!!!!!

I went to Khayelitsha Home Affairs today the 5th of June 2024. I went there with a letter from the Master's Court to register my customary marriage. First I got a comment that I am too young to not know that you need to get married the "normal way" The lady even made an example that it was done by their mother's age group in 1962 as they did not know better. I let that slide and then she went on to say that Customary Marriages have been placed on hold indefinitely by the Minister when I asked for proof they told me they do not have one. I then asked how I knew that the marriages could be registered and was told that I would need to keep on visiting the home affairs to ask them. This means I will need to keep on waking up early in the morning to ask them if the minister has changed their mind. I then called the Department of Home Affairs helpline and the lady did not know anything about this. I need help as this is holding up my process with the estate of the late. Appalled. Khayelitsha Home Affairs.The incompetence in this home affairs cannot go unmentioned. My ID for collection has been ready since the 2nd of April everytime I go there is a different excuse while waiting in the queue we told that the servers are down and there will be back up this is 09H00 the morning so we wait at 13H45 now the servers are back up while still in the queue from 09H00 on an appointment for that matter.All of a sudden at 14H00 they are now closing for training and they have to unfortunately close. I make an appointment for the following Monday the 8th of April 2024 for 09H00 get there at 09H00 for the appointment we wait for them to get ready told to go in and we are given numbers and told to sit at collection.While there at collection all of a sudden the server is flooded due to heavy rain and that they can't issue ID collections and this server could explode and there technicians are saying it will take two days to resolve. I make another appointment for Friday the 12th of Paril 2024 get there for the appointment and now it's not the servers but the roof that went with the wind and that they still can't can't issue ID collection.This roof that supposedly went with the wind is now where to be found and there is no visible damage to the roof at all. They even now still can't issue ID collection in the mean time a person can't do anything without this ID they won't even issue temporary ID. WHY DOES THIS HOME AFFAIRS EVEN EXIST?!!!!!!!!
