I first enquired about the Kia Sonet back in November 2024, and that’s when I received a call from Linton Witbooi. Due to some personal circumstances at the time, I wasn’t able to go for the test drive, but Linton didn’t forget about me. He followed up again in January 2025, and we finally scheduled that long-awaited test drive. I drove the Kia Sonet and instantly fell in love. At the time, I was still driving my trusted Datsun Go.
We went ahead with my finance application, but unfortunately, I didn’t qualify due to my credit score. Gerda in F&I was very supportive and advised me to try again in 3–4 months once I had worked on my score. I told Linton we’d do the application in July as a birthday gift to myself.
Life, however, had other plans. I was recently in an accident with my beloved Datsun Go and was forced to part ways with it. I now urgently needed a vehicle. And just like that, one month earlier than planned, my dream came true — not just with any Sonet, but with a brand new 2025 Kia Sonet in the beautiful Pewter Olive.
Linton, thank you for walking this 9-month journey with me. You never gave up, always checked in, sent sneak peeks and photos, and most importantly — you always reassured me that I would drive my Sonet one day. And today, I am proudly doing just that.
