I have never seen such appalling service at KIA in wonderboom. I'm not a first time car buyer and can confidently say that I have an experience in what service to expect. I bought a Kia Sonet few months back and I can say the presentation of the vehicle to me and my wife was nothing short of underwhelming. The car was presented to my without any gift pack A bottle of champagne, box of chocolate for my wife etc. NOTHING. This morning I went there to get the car serviced and I was informed that the car will only be serviced and not washed.(which is standard at any dealership) and might i add that it also had no WiFi available, to add insult to injury I had to walk with my son for 2km to get him some food as there was no shuttle to take us or any Uber to take us within 30km as other dealerships do. My word I have the biggest regret in taking my business to this dealership. Absolutely no after service quality. I would not recommend anyone with this experience I have encountered.

I’m deeply disappointed with Kia Wonderboom and the behaviour of manager Eric Erasmus. Since February 2025, I took my car there 4–5 times for the same overheating issue and was repeatedly told “no problem found.” Only last week was the real issue, a faulty thermostat finally diagnosed and said to be fixed. Even though the car was eventually repaired and I received transport assistance, the treatment I received was unacceptable: • Months of being ignored despite returning with the same issue • Rude and unprofessional conduct from Eric Erasmus, including swearing over the phone • Being told to drive the car while it was overheating, which is unsafe • Receiving my car back with no paperwork or confirmation • A new scratch on the vehicle, and being dismissed when I mentioned it • The car is making a strange sound when braking, turning, or going over bumps • And today, customer service ignored my feedback completely • Customer service ignored my feedback today • Even the person I was told to contact “if there’s an issue” ignored me today and never filed anything I’ve owned three Kia vehicles, and this has been my worst experience. I expect Kia South Africa to urgently investigate Kia Wonderboom and address this behaviour.

Kia Wonderboom is a ****, if you want peace stay away from those Mafias. Our Kia rio overheated in early August, and the car was towed to Kia Wonderboom on the 12/08/25. They said so many stories to my partner about the cos of overheating, and charged us R10600 and warranty also payed some to them. They called to say the car was ready for collection. To my surprise the car overheated 2km away from the dealership, I returned the car to them hoping for a fair service. However the nightmare began, they took us from pillar to post with their endless stories. Out of frustration I went there to collect the car but their manager convinced me that they will sort out the issue. He made some calculations of replacing the headgasket and promised that it won't be anything more than R18500. He further charged us R3500 for stripping and quote. To our suprise the Mafia state came back with a quote of R59201.70, where they even quoted new pistons, and their engenering alone was R26000. Like how on earth do we have to pay 26k for skimming? I decided to go again and tow the car where I payed R3500 for stripping, but to our surprise again the engine block was still in a car, so how did they quote us on a block that was never stripped and charged us 9 hours for labour, for real how can it take a mechanic full 9 hours for only taking out the top?. Wen we demanded the other parts, they said the top was by the engenering, but that top came back from engenering without being skimmed, they only cleaned the top to pretend as if it was cleaned. In summary we were charged over R70 000 for only replacing the headgasket. I've never seen this kind of a **** ever in my life.

I would like to take my hat off and give a Kudos to my Sales person..Mr Eldon Khoza..based at the Kia Wonderboom branch...3yrs ago, He has welcomed me into the Kia family and I must say it definitely is a warm place to be...During my car sale, Eldon patiently & impressively explained all the options available which helped me to choose the best one for my needs. This was and has always been the best customer service experience I've had in a long time. I personally felt valued as a customer because of his exceptional service. And not just to me alone but the 3 referrals I made, which i trusted them in his care, and he closed sale with ALL of them. He is very client centric and has the ability to understand and meet customers' needs, exceed our expectations, and because of that , build a professional trusting relationship with us. He's present and available during the sale and post the sale. For me, it is the cherry 🍒 on top because many rush to close a sale, and when it's a done deal, you don't exist. You were merely just part of the sales statistics. He creates an ambiance there that is always inviting and comfortable. His professionalism has made it a "go-to place" and very easy to refer family & friends. In this fast growing and competitive car industry, it's rare to ALWAYS find some that's so passionate and enthusiastic about their position and job. To Eldon Khoza: Your positivity and efforts are making a difference. We value your hard work, dedication, and simply just saying KEEP IT UP, never drop your high standards.

I am beyond frustrated with the service my husband and I have received from Kia Wonderboom after purchasing a brand-new Kia Picanto. What should have been an exciting experience turned into a nightmare due to the dealership’s incompetence and lack of customer care. Upon delivery, we immediately noticed multiple unacceptable issues for a new car: - Missing tools in the boot (Acording to them they don't manufacture the tools that's missing) - No service book provided. - Only half a tank of fuel at delivery. - Missing aerial. - A promised gift basket never received. - The temporary driving permit incorrectly stated we bought a Kia Sonet instead of our actual Kia Picanto—a serious administrative mistake! From there, things only got worse. Kia Wonderboom took our car for inspection the day after we received it and returned it with more kilometers on the clock and even *less* fuel. Then, within just a few days, we noticed a *shudder in the front brakes*—a major safety issue in a new vehicle. Instead of replacing the faulty brake discs, they were *skimmed*, which significantly reduces their lifespan. We later found out that the brake caliper pin was *bent*—how does a defect like that exist in a brand-new car? The rear speakers have also been a persistent issue, and despite multiple so-called "fixes," the problem keeps returning. The dealership has removed our door panels *multiple times*, making the car feel anything but new. Then came the misleading cashback promotion. My husband purchased the car under the impression that Kia was offering a **R20,000 cashback deal**, yet Kia Wonderboom later claimed that R10,000 was a "discount" rather than actual cashback. Worse, my husband was never informed about the process that supposedly required an additional addendum. This was our first brand-new car purchase, and we trusted the dealership to be transparent—but clearly, that was a mistake. To top it all off, our **contract with the bank is incorrect**—it states our vehicle has metallic paint when we purchased a standard white model, meaning we were charged for something we *don’t even have*. More broken promises and frustrations: - Rubber carpets promised as an apology? Never received. - Fuel driven out of our car while at the dealership, but never replaced as the branch manager said they do replace the fuel—*twice!* - Kia Wonderboom has driven our supposed "brand-new" car almost **over 110 km** in their possession. - When my husband voiced his frustration and considered withdrawing from the deal, a branch member *laughed at him*. This is beyond unacceptable. We have given Kia Wonderboom **multiple chances** to fix these issues, yet our car is about to go back for *the third time*—all within the first two weeks of ownership! We demand immediate action, or we will escalate this further to Kia Head Office, WesBank, and consumer protection bodies. If you're considering purchasing from Kia Wonderboom, **think twice**—their lack of professionalism, poor service, and failure to honor commitments have completely destroyed our trust in the brand. **Avoid Kia Wonderboom at all costs!**

I got ****MED by this dealership! Firstly, they sold me a new faulty part for R1800. I found another one at Seal Centre, FOR ONLY R280. Secondly, I’m typing this message after waiting for over a month for a refund. I’m the one who’s been calling the dealership multiple times for a simple update! The manager finally decided to call after I requested to be called. What a waste of my time because he asked me to send him an email of the situation. Dude, you should have all the information you need because I even brought my vehicle to your dealership, your mechanic confirmed the part you sold me is faulty. I drove back home to get the original packaging. As a customer, I should have received my refund long ago! NEVER buy parts from this dealership. Anything goes wrong, you will DEFINITELY STRUGGLE TO GET any professional assistance, your money will be gone!
