I have a partner that is currently waiting for a procedure to be preformed on his back. This is the 4th time since August 2024 and evertime,he has to pay to be admitted, they book him in in the wards and then for days, told your process is to be done next, next turns into tomorrow and tomorrow turns into next month. What the heck.. .This by far is the worst patient service ever experienced.

Good day Dr. Mabusha and Staff off King Dinuzulu Ward A This is with great disappointment I'm writing this message. Arnold Bothma went for his 1st back operation almost 4months ago We going to 5months and the cast is still on his foot His back was done the 1st time he had feelings in his legs Almost a week long he complained about a fire burning feeling after I went swearing and fighting it was attended to and find the pressure of blood clots from after the 1st operation was the cause of the fire burning feeling after the 2nd operation when the pressure of the blood clots was fixed he have no feelings in his legs Till now almost 5months later we still waiting to know what is going on and he still have no feelings in his legs He is at this stage worse then the day from the 2nd operation and how can you keep a cast for 5months on a foot and leg I had to scream and fight to get answers as there is for ever excuses the responsibil doctor is never available and there is no phone call to me after how many times of licking and asking Now he is again waiting after a week from moved back to King Dinuzulu where he had a MRI Scan at Albert Luthuli he and us his family still waiting to know what is going on He was told by Dr. Mabusha they will inform him on Thursday what the result of the MRI Scan is Then on Saturday he was told there is no results as yet from Alber Luthuli What a load of nonsense Seems like they have no time for priority nor responsibility I had more then enough of the lies and excuses I'm not leaving this I'm taking further steps You and all this government hospitals are playing with people's lifes or is this because Arnold is a white man and no one cares. It is very difficult for me to mention it this way but unfortunately this is what it seems like You can be sure as im busy going further with this whole story I will go to the newspapers, TV and who ever I can but this is now really nonsense Many Thanks

On the 7th of July 2024, my wife amd I welcomed our baby boy to the world. This should have been the proudest moment of our lives, unfortunately, it was the most traumatic moments for my wife, baby and I. When we reached the hospital at 5:30am on Sunday, I was not allowed to go into the ward with my wife even though I was told by our clinic that I would be. After seeing the doctor, my wife was told that she was 4cm dilated and in labour. The doctor informed my wife that she would not be sent to the early labour ward and will be kept downstairs in the labour ward as she was progressing fast. However, as soon as the doctor left, the nurses said that he didn't know what he was doing and insisted that my wife was only 2cm so she was sent upstairs to the early labour ward. Following this, my wife started to bleed and they said it was normal. When they checked on her an hour later, she was 6cm and told her that they don't know why she was sent upstairs and needs to go back downstairs again. Before sending her down, they did her internal check while she was contracting and hurt her in the process. She was then made to carry her own hospital bag back downstairs while bleeding, dilating, and experiencing painful contractions. When she reached 8cm, the nurses got her onto the bed, broke her water and while adjusting the position of the bed, dropped her forward, while in active labour. They then laughed and told her that she was heavy. When picking her up and repositioning the bed, they dropped her back causing her to hit her head. I was then asked to come in to calm my wife down, when I walked in, she was placed in a very uncomfortable position and she told them they are hurting her. This angered the nurses, and they stopped everything they were doing to shout at my wife for saying that and then proceeded to say she must sign papers and get out and deliver your baby at home. It was also mentioned that "it wouldn't sound right if someone walked by and heard you saying that we are hurting a patient." However, that is exactly what they were doing. They then accused my wife of trying to kick the nurse although she was adjusting her leg because of the pain. At this point they actually took off their gloves and refused to deliver the baby until i begged them to please help my wife. They then proceeded to cut her perineum but forgot to administer any form of pain killers or topical anesthesia when stitching her. This caused my wife to pass out in pain. When she came to, she was shaking because of the loss of blood and they did not even offer her a blanket. When she was sent up to the maternity ward for the evening, she tried breastfeeding our baby but he wasn't latching, the nurses refused to assist her with feeding him which lead to my baby crying and starving the entire night. My wife actually carried our crying baby to the nurses station at midnight to ask for some formula for him but was sent back to her bed multiple times. She was told that our baby would die if she didn't feed him and was asked what kind of a mother is she. The nurses got irritated and took the baby saying he needs to burp. They then laid him on the bed and hit him on his back to roll him across the bed. In the morning, a new nurse came in and heard the baby crying and noticed that he wasn't latching to my wifes breast as he was a tiny baby and she fed him some formula. This traumatic incident occurred 2 weeks ago and has been a catalyst in my wife slipping into post partem depression to a state where she can't even produce milk for our baby anymore. Please help us expose this evil, heartless and careless ward of nurses at this hospital.

Good day I would love to commend the work done by a nurse at the Antenatal clinic her name is Simone Nyangwana. She is always ready to help and makes sure you leave with more knowledge. She's young but her work ethic is commendable. Simone keep doing the good work that you do I am always happy to interact with her. I have birth at the hospital and she was always ready and willing to assist. Today I was there for a LLETZ and the Dr personally asked her to help her out. Keep doing the good work that you do.

why do we have to go to hospital coz the doctors don't listen what the patients have to say every visit is a different doctor looking at the last doctor had to say easy way out like an xray only thing they say you telling me my job. I took my wife to king dinuzulu hospital for her appointment but she had different pains on her leg and I took her to our GP he asked her what treatment the hospital giving her for that so she said after going to hospital the pains got worse so the doctor gave her a proper check up & gave a letter to take to hospital for xray & to change certain medications....but the doctors in the hospital saying these GPs must not give us instructions & tell us how to do their job my point is if you listen to the patients complain you'll do the right thing & do tests like bloods, xray & they say nerve is damaged how do you know if you don't run tests every hospital got a code BATHO PELE the patients rights but these doctors don't do what is right the medication they give my wife is all ball with over grown hairs coz I Google the tablets it is for depression & whole lot of rubbish the symptoms she has I Google it & buy over the counter medication which help & she try to tell the doctors they ignore the patients request plain down the health department is totally ****ed up & the doctors they employ is cheap assholes
