I always walked pass and never really made much of the restaurant in Willow bridge, Western Cape. However today I was interested in exploring something new and I most definitely found it. The staff was very friendly and knew their products very well, I tried the recommended Mad king beer and to be honest...one of the best beers I have ever had. The Farmers breakfast was absolutely perfect. I still have to experience the rest of the things on the menu but if today was any indication, it can only be amazing.

Hi there I was hoping to chat to the owner as I feel they must know about the shocking turn of events at your Kings branch Willowbridge. We have been there twice before and WOW out of this world. The service, the food and the overall experience was amazing. After visiting your restaurant on our last visit we were shocked to see how fast things have gone south. I called to book a table and asked the corkage fee, the person on the line had to double check. After arriving our waitress could not open our wine and my husband had to use her waiters friend tool to open our bottle. Nothing was said about items not available on the menu. After ordering our meal she said two out of the three items we did order were out of stock. We ordered risotto, and two fillets instead. Nothing was said, about the fillets and so we waited on our food. My hubby had to ask twice for his beer and when it finally arrived it was half full. Not one to complain we left at at that and waited on our food. While sitting there I noticed the staff looked a bit uninterested, and the kitchen staff was so loud we could hear exactly was was discussed. Our food arrived, how disappointed to hear the fillets were not the proper cut, still not sure what the waitress tried to explain but something about the cut being wrong and to apologise they are adding veg and sauces to the meal. The chips tasted of old oil. The sauce was like water! My risotto was raw! Still not wanting to make a fuss we ate paid and left. What went wrong? Perhaps by telling us from the word go most of your items on the menu is out of stock we could of gone to Hassar for far better service and food. Your meals used to beat Hassar by far, and so soon after opening your service and standard has dropped. I am writing this email hoping the owners will realise they have a huge staff and stock issue. This was emailed to the manager last week…I have had no response
