I paid R2500 deposit for accommodation at Kingsway in 2019. My child filled the refund forms in March 2022, I called Kingsway in June and was told that lady who assisted me resigned. So I was surprised that when someone resigns and they were the one helping you then no one will take over. In December 2021 I paid a deposit of R500 to book a room for my child. I was not assisted, no email no sms no communication from Kingsway, then we went to check the room we were advised that all rooms are booked. They took my R500 telling me that it was administration, which admin because they did not call or do any admin. I want my R500 to be refunded back because there is nothing that they helped me with. And they told me that there is a cleaning fee that will be deducted from my refund and I also want them to tell me who was cleaning and where?. I spoke to Olona who advised to send an email to info@kingswayplace.co.za, which I did and and there is no reply from them till today. I want my refund all of it.

I urge the Department of Higher Education to perform a full investigation on these tertiary institutions who gladly accept students’ enrollment fees but provide the most pathetic service. I have requested my external examination results since last week from Kingsway College which had been my examination venue for 2019 and was promised that it would be forwarded to me via email. I had eventually received an email from Nicole at Kingsway College with a statement of results indicating no percentage or actual marks per subject. Upon inquiring this telephonically, I was referred by her to Intec College who was supposed to have explained the whole percentage process. Intec has confirmed that Kingsway College is responsible for sending the actual results who had failed to reply to any of my emails. I have contacted them approximately three times a day and was promised by Muriel that someone would return my call. One would think that they would be considerate towards students by ensuring that results are provided timeously to allow enough time for registration of exams before the next cut off date. I am terribly unhappy with the staff at Kingsway College and they need to be exposed for their putrid service and incompetence. Please have someone send me my examination results soonest.

The experience and dodgy conduct of the Kingsway College is very disappointing, which makes me wonder if the education governing standards are practice at the college. How is it possible that estimated 80% of students who are enrolled on the N2 engineering course get to fail all their subjects with exactly same marks? And those student who can afford a remark priced at (R85 per subject) request a remark get to pass all subjects they were initially failed. It is a disgrace for Kings Way College to rather have such a bad reputation where they obtain embarrassing pass rate and use education as money making business. I appeal to the department of Education to do a thorough investigate on the operations of the Kings Way College in Cape Town I reckon the Kings Way College is making money from the poor disadvantages south African families

I applied for a 1 year nursing course at Kingsway College. My application was successful and I was told to pay an amount of R6,000 before 19 June 2017. I paid the full amount on 9 May 2017. I was told classes would start on 19 June 2017. I arrived for class on that date but was told after orientation day was done that I should wait on a call from the college. The reason I had to wait on a call was because the lectures was out in the field. I've waited weeks on the call college to call and when they never called, I called them. I was told they don't have any feedback, they will let me know. I saw an adverti*****t on Gumtree regarding the course, where I saw the amount posted on the ad was way less than what I paid. When I enquired about it, I was told it's an old post.

We represent Lee Ann Petersen (our "Client").
We refer to the conversation with Muriel Cloete on 26 July 2017 and further follow-up phone calls explaining that:

1. Our Client applied for a one-year nursing course at Kings Way College (the "College");
2. Her application was successful;
3. She paid a deposit and registration fee of R6,000 on 9 May 2017;
4. She was told that classes would start on 19 June 2017;
5. She arrived for classes on that date, but was told that classes would not start and that she should wait for a call from the College;

Subsequently, she has called the College several times and was repeatedly advised that she should wait for a call from the College.
We note from your website that the section headed "Nursing Courses" offers only six three-month engineering courses.
Our Client would like to obtain a nursing qualification, but is doubtful that the College can offer it and subsequently demanded her money back. To date no communication or payment has been forthcoming.
