My daughter has found a second home at Koa,she is so happy with her pod teacher,that 's make me a proud parents to see her enjoy her school work happy and improved so much academically because of the love and patient she get from the teacher

Best Homeschooling Option
I moved my daughter from a traditional private school to Koa in term 4 of Grade 8 last year, and she has continued there this year. I was a little skeptical at first, it almost sounded too good to be true, but it really has been great. The teachers are involved and accessible, the learners have been unproblematic, and the quality of education has been on par with her previous school. There is a short adjustment period while learners figure out how and where to do everything, but it’s quick, and the teachers are very supportive throughout. I was initially concerned about whether my daughter would have the discipline for homeschooling, but the way the programme is structured has really supported her growth. She has taken ownership of her work, asks questions confidently, and often strives to work ahead of schedule. She enjoys the flexibility of being able to work ahead and manage her time in a way that suits her. As with most homeschooling or online models, very social children may still need additional outlets for social interaction. That said, Koa has a unique approach and makes a genuine effort to build community, and my daughter has made friends with her classmates. Honestly, this is the only route I would recommend for supported homeschooling. The overall culture is not about churning kids out or cashing in, but about genuinely caring for learners and their overall wellbeing.

Best Homeschooling Option

KOA - unhappy with school's approach
English Paper 2 - Grade 11 - the learners were compelled to answer a question in support of LGBTQ. Needless to say, this was traumatic for several learners who held a different view on the matter. They were afraid of putting their pens down during the examination and not answering the question for fear of reprisal (e.g. getting zero for the question). The school principal did attempt to explain what happened and did state that they got it wrong. However, there was no apology! (Although one incident of this type of exam question was cited by the school; I believe there was another similar prescriptive question). It begs the question as to how a teacher can be so brazen to force kids to answer this type of question? I would encourage parents to ask all the relevant questions upfront before enrolment.
