It takes an ID number to get a delivery from them

I was refused delivery of an item I've already paid for because they don't know who the person on the property, behind a locked gate was, and they need to verify that, by me providing my full name and ID number, or showing my ID to a complete stranger.

I'm not sure how every other delivery company can deliver without such stringent personal verification methods, but I regret not paying the extra R100 to order from Takealot or literally anywhere else instead.

Save yourself the trouble, just order from somewhere else.

The delivery individual was perfectly polite, can't blame him for an idiotic delivery policy.
