Staying at Kowie River Chalets managed by First Group Last night people tried to break in while we were sleeping. Traumatic for my family. I called the number on their welcome letter and website to be told, “We can’t take your call as we are making happy memories’ Shouted for help for an hour. Must have left 20 messages asking for help. Still no reply 12 hours later! Security came after an hour and apologised as guard was sleeping. Promised to have locks fixed and a extra patrol tonight. No help from First Group SA as they are closed.
The most insulting is that I have now been able to speak to the resort manager, Kerry – 8 hours later, who is totally unaware of the incident. I have hoped that first thing this morning management who enquire as to what happened and my family’s wellbeing. But I am told that break-ins are not uncommon here. So, I supposed that is why I should manage my expectations and not expect and response.
