I will not go back to Kromboom Dental Centre again. Beside being of no value for money - I simply cannot handle the level of incompetence received to follow a simple instruction to correct an error which should not have been made in the first place.
My husband made an appointment for my 5 year old son for a check-up. I was told that the consultation was going to by X amount. I assumed with that amount given it included a cleaning. I did not know that the amount given was merely for an opinion which ended with an "I DON"T KNOW".
You would think that this opinion would include x-rays as a medical opinion of this sort from my understanding can simply not be reached without x-rays being taken - this is just me applying my attorney mind here.
The consultation was a complete waste of time - I was told that my 5 year old has cavities which his not complaining about and which the Doctor found to be strange. What I found amusing though was when the doctor asked me what's wrong with his mouth and responded to my answer with a "was it not like that from birth".
He has a pointy tooth at the age of 5 coming out where an incisor suppose to be coming out after his milk tooth fell out. I mean really now. After the x-ray was taken, it was still not established why this is.
I'm told that he needs 7 fillings - in total with the anaesthetist I'm looking to pay about R7500.00. They were extremely pushy that I book the appointment even telling me that if I don't book the appointment immediately, that they don't know when I will be able to get another appointment. On my way to pay I'm told, wait for, that there just happens to be an appointment the Monday. Note that my son and I were there the Thursday.
I'm given a statement and when I want to submit the claim to my medical aid, I noticed that the incorrect medical aid details are on the form. This irritates me as I completed and updated my details the Thursday, there is no excuse for this mistake. I try calling, no one answers and so I send an email. I get a response asking me to send my updated details and so I do this. No statement is sent. I do a follow up email, no statement or response. I call the next day and I'm told by reception that Tasneem sent the statement the previous day and that I should check my spam.
Obviously I checked my spam folder and I informed whoever I spoke to of this. I was told by this person that she will send it now and yet nothing.
I'm struggling to understand why a simple instruction cannot be carried out, why they cannot fix their careless mistake which should not have been made in the first place or whether it is because of their ineptitude.
