We made a booking with them time for 2 rooms (1 standard and 1 luxurious) for 3 people, for 26-27 April for a late check-in which was also communicated. They asked that we pay immediately and send pop to secure the booking which was done on the 10th of April. They confirmed receipt of our pop and accommodation booking. We asked to come and collect the keys since we will be at their establishment very late but they couldn't agree to that request as "it wasn't part of their policy".
Few hours before leaving our event heading to them in the evening we received a WhatsApp text informing us that "there were technical issues with our room and our booking was cancelled, could we kindly forward them our banking details". We followed up with a call and we were informed that our rooms were fumigated the day before and we couldn't be accommodated. They had ample time to communicate this with us so that necessary plans could be made for alternative accommodation. They were not remorseful and not even willing to assist with a plan B. We sent them banking details but to date we haven't received our refund. For an establishment that requires immediate payment they cannot even process an immediate refund. We had to drive back to Gauteng in the middle of the night putting our lives in jeopardy. We have been calling every day asking for our refund but Mmathapelo, we assume is the receptionist keeps on telling us that management is aware and was shocked that we haven't received our refund as yet. Unprofessional much and what a **** of a business!! They don't even deserve this 1 star rating.
