A sensory feast from the moment you arrive. This is fine dining at its best! If you haven't been lucky enough to experience La Colombe, it's well worth the money. A must for anyone who appreciates good food and wine! Thank you for hosting us, and a huge well done to Chef James Gaag and his talented team.

Notre meilleur restaurant d'Afrique du Sud, à la hauteur d'un 2 ou 3 étoiles français : saveurs équilibrés, cuisson parfaite, "voyage" à chaque plat, prix contenus (pour la qualité), personnel au top un modèle du genre . Seuls les ****tails nous ont déçus...

As a local foodie by heart, I feel it is my duty to everyone about the overall customer experience received from La Colombe. We had a lovely food & wine experience at La Colombe on Constantia Nek on the 26th November 2021 but unfortunately this entire experience has been ruined / spoiled & I will never support this restaurant / brand again. Our server put through R8 710 on my card which was R7839 MORE than my actual bill of R871. When our server told me she had processed a refund of R7839 & that this should clear in 2/3 days, I was not too bothered as this was not too long of a period to wait & it was still enough time until the debit orders start going through – so crisis diverted & all will be well. I am not an unreasonable person, it has been a challenging year for all of us, mistakes happen & it is the festive season after all. I must also mention that I was told (after refund processed) that this has happened a few times at La Colombe ‘’Once they had to drive to Franschhoek with over R40 000 cash in the car to deliver this to a tourist that they had accidently over charged during the payment process’’ – which then of course made me a bit nervous. Anyway, fast forward a week later & I realized that refund was still not reflecting in my account & the debit orders were about to come off, so I quickly called La Colombe to follow up. After numerous emails, phone calls / follow ups & lots of broken promises, this has still not been resolved, the refund is still not reflecting in my account & my debit order day has come & gone…as of right now, I am sitting on 11 days & counting! #PayBackMyMoneyLaColombe

I could not find a "contact us" on La Colombe's website, and I do feel the need to express my experience at La Colombe. It was my second time and weeks ahead I was looking forward to another great experience. My family's way to judge if something is good is the question "will you go again?". At that point, it was a definite yes. For the most part, the food was really very good and our waiter had the fine balance of being knowledgeable and effective without being overbearing. I was not impressed with all the "props", the bird's nest looks tired but some people are very impressed by it. When asked if we want still or sparkling water I said tap will be good, the waiter explained something about their own system but I could not quite understand. I was also asked if I would like Foie Gras with my main course and I accepted. The two "main" courses were excellent, the desert was underwhelming and I have a huge sweet tooth so that was disappointing. When we got the bill we were charged R350 for a really small portion Foie Gras and R76 for water service. I felt taken for a ride and at this point to feel like going back any time soon.

Exceptional experience as usual. We did the tasting menu!! Every course was an experience and unique. The cheese dish was not up to scratch. The decor is also not equal to the food experience!!!
