E Flambe at La Pentola

We had supper there on 22/11/25. A flambed steak was unfortunately dropped in my guest's lap while burning,by the waiter. While i realise this was an accident,the manager was very nonchalant about it. Yes,she and the waiter apologised,but it was a sizeable bill,over R3000,and i felt the offer of a Dom Pedro,or Irish Coffee on the house,or even removing the offending steak from the bill could have gone a long way towards smoothing things over and making up for the ruined silk blouse and pants. When i called today to discuss it with them ,i was told,oh the party were very happy,they didnt make a fuss,and its over, nothing can be done now. Once again a very odd casual attitude. And a tribute to us as diners,that we did not make a huge scene in a full restaurant. We wont be back and we eat there every time we go to Herm****.
