I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding my recent stay at Lagoon beach hotel in Cape Town that was supposed to be from 22/01/2026 to 28/01/2026. During my stay, I discovered a significant ****roach infestation in my room. I observed multiple ****roaches in the bathroom and sleeping area, including on the walls and near the bed. This created unsanitary and unacceptable conditions and raised serious health concerns. I immediately reported the issue to the hotel management on 23/01/2026 at 4am, cancelled my booking and requested a refund However, despite them acknowledging the issue, the hotel refused to provide a full refund, they only acknowledged their fault, apologised and offered to pay 50% refund. I seek assistance in recovering the amount paid for accommodation that was not provided in a safe and sanitary condition. My booking confirmation number: 5926765572

I would like to appreciate the professionalism of Ofentse, She is a real star, solution driven and ethical. My overall experience at the hotel was great, would definitely host an event here or come personally on vacation.

My watch and cologne disappeared into thin air in this hotel between 27-29 October 2023, I had to write numerous emails, been taken from pillar to post without any solution. only for them to send me a polygraph report a year later. I was told to send the value of the items but till to date nothing is being done.

I was so disappointed with the facilities. What made me book with them is the outdoor pool and the beachview advertised on booking.com but the only pool that was there was dirty and treated like a storeroom for pool furniture. The furniture was covered in dust and stacked. The request I had made upon booking for the beds to be separated was not granted. I had to request on arrival again. The cleaners do not change the towels. They don’t make the bed nicely. The rooms are cold and the heating system is not user friendly. There are no slippers and night gowns. The water pressure is low. I’m just so disappointed because this is not what I expected. The place has no value for money.

my stay in Lagoon Beach Hotel was horrible. I have been waiting for my refund since 7 October 2023. I have been calling the hotel countless times and they are giving me a runaround. today is the 28th of November. whilst staying there the phone in my room was not working my entire stay. Their service was appalling to say the least.

BOOKING.COM should delist this place. You book a sea facing room then get a classic room which faces the highway. Management then says the hotel is full and wants more money for an upgrade together with a bad attitude. They also more concerned about SIGNING indemnity forms for lost/****** goods which i never encountered before at any hotel leaving me rather weary about safety. Total false advertising and please do not learn this the hard way like i did.

I’ve only been at the hotel for a day and I’m already settled on a 1/10 rating. Reception staff have a ‘can’t do’ attitude and when you question this, you are met with snarky, sarcastic and condescending responses. Devron and team, do better.

False advertising, booked a ocean facing room only to be told when I got there that I am getting a classic room that is not ocean facing because they are fully booked after I had called twice to confirm that I was going to get an ocean facing room!!! I got a room facing the road. And I am here for the whole week. I am extremely disappointed with this place my advice if you are booking for a veiw experience please take your money elsewhere
