I had done a new set of nails with tips ,in 12 days 1 fell off, considering my nails are not in water,no washing dishes or clothes. No forceful break off. It just literally fell off! I booked an appointment to repair, under the assumption it was complimentary, then walked out with no one asking me to pay. When I was shopping in the mall I received a msg to say that I had just left without paying... I went in to pay and was addressed by Tumi who said that the policy is 7 days ! I asked for the manager Melissa but she said that she was on holiday. I am dissatisfied and disappointed as I made good relationships with other staff members . I go in twice a month ,this is the first and last! To the manager train your staff on customer satisfaction because word of mouth is bad for business when your staff have this attitude

Very disappointed to see that the manager is unprofessional. Appalled that a manager at a beauty spa that is frequented by both men and women dresses inappropriately. Occasionally been spotted consuming alcohol with clients during business hours in the beauty spa

Absolutely worth it! Had a couples massage there on Valentine's day and just loved every minute of it. The customer service is excellent, the treatments are amazing and you feel welcome from the moment you make the booking with friendly staff. They definitely set the bar high when it comes to professionalism.

In March I went to Lavana Beauty Spa in Benmore to purchase Nimue products that I had been using with good results. I was advised that they did not stock the range I was using but they could highly recommend another product with was better and I would see better results - the product was Lamelle. I purchased a moisturiser, eye cream and serum. As I still had some Nimue left I finished before starting to use the new products on the 30th March. I departed SA on 31 March on a business trip to Europe. On 1 April, my face started to feel itchy. On 2 April I woke up and my face had swollen to twice the size, was red and itchy. I immediately sought medical help and saw a Professor of Dermatology in Frankfurt who diagnosed an allergic reaction. He have me medication and said to stop using the products. On returning to SA on 13 April I believed the reaction was gone and started to use the Lamelle products again. On the 15th April I once had to go to my GP as I had the same reaction to the product. It felt like my skin was being burnt by a chemical. I was once again put on medication. On the 16th I went to Lavana with the products and all the invoices etc from the doctors and showed them photo's of my face and explained what had happened. They were sympathetic and 2 of the the******s picked up the serum and both thought that was the cause. They said they needed a few days to give me a response as they had to speak to the owner of the business and to the Lamelle representative and would have an answer for me before the end of the week. However no response. On the 6th May I received a call from the Spa Manager who said she could only give me an answer on Thurday Morning as Lamelle wanted to test the products. Thursday afternoon (9 May) I called them to find out what their decision was regarding a refund. I was advised that the other Manager was off and someone would call me back - I responded that they had to call back before 09h30 on Friday. Friday morning at 10h00 they called to say I had 3 options, a credit at the store, a voucher or a refund. I opted for the refund. I said I would come in after lunch on Friday so that they could refund the card I made the purchase on. I went in at 17h30 and was told that they could not refund my card but they wanted my bank details and would eft the money to me. I asked for a time frame and they said they would give my details to their owner. For a service industry company, the service is shocking, They are back tracking, making excuses. Apart from the cost of the products - I have medical expenses for R3500.00. Plus I don't know the long term damage to my skin. The strange thing is that the serum does not even print the ingredients on the product - so you have no idea of what is in it. AND Lamelle have made no attempt to contact me.

How sad to find Lavana Spa treat working class clients so poorly. After being a Sorbet client for over 7 years, I decided to give Lavana a try, the Spa looks so inviting! From the moment I arrived I felt like I was intruding! My the****** didn't bother tointroduce herself, just grunted at me, saying "choose a colour". At one point she just disappeared halfway through my pedicure for at least 5 minutes while I stared at the walls and watched the other clients, wondering if she was ever going to return. I wasn't even offered a glass of water. My the****** never said a single word to me throughout. Everything was done with minimal effort or interest. I had to wonder if it had something to do with the fact that I was neither foreign nor one of the wealthy, Range Rover driving, darker skinned, home executives that seem to be the order of the day. The delightful American lady next to me was being openly fawned over, no doubt her the****** was aiming for a large foreign currency tip. The Range Rover driving lady was sipping a coffee and the beautiful, dark skinned lady to my right was also having attention lavished on her to the point of patronising! I have never felt so uncomfortable or wanted to leave in such a hurry. I will be going back to Sorbet where regular, middle class, working girls are made to feel welcome.

My girlfriend came to their spa the day before a wedding. They hurt her face, she has never had any issues before, but this time something went wrong. They gave her a little bit of gel and told her it will be fine the next day. The next day she had 3 scabs on her face. We went back and no one took accountability and no one could get hold of the manager, Cheryl Hengst. I am still waiting for someone to contact us. We have had to go to Dermatologists and pharmacies. I would strongly recommend NO ONE should ever go to Lavana Spa
