Choose your removals company carefully
When moving, it is really important so choose a company that offers a professional service. They also would need to have sufficient controls in place to manage your risk of moving. I was recommended to use Legends Removals and unfortunately, had a very bad experience. When I raised my problem with the owner, he eventually got really rude and accusatory. A carry-on bag was ****** by his staff, and he blankly refused to accept it. A professional moving company works on an inventory against which items uploaded, and again off loaded, are controlled. This is not a control used by Legends. They rely on a camera in the truck, and since, according to the owner, he did not see a blue carry-on bag, it did not exist and by implication I was lying. They also did not calculate the load correctly. They arrived with a truck way too small, and it took them 4 hours to upload. I have moved many times and uploading seldom was more than 90 minutes. They had to come back a second day, I had been threatened by the new owners with occupational rent, and it was very inconvenient for me to spend two days moving instead of a half day, as it would have been with a more competent moving company. I definitely won’t recommend them.

So i have a inventory list provided by you, actually i have 2 separate ones and nowhere on them have you mentioned a tog bag or duffle bag.
So you are now accusing my staff of theft of something that was not listed and according to video evidence it was not loaded. Both the video and lists are there for you to double check, i did offer you this.
I also don't believe you when you say other companies loaded your move in 90 min. Its just too big. Yes we are slower than most, i agree, but that is because we wrap more furniture with more blankets for your protection than other companies.
You only paid for your move the day before the move, this after you had moved your relocation date several times.
We helped you on a Sunday afternoon at month end, with the only truck we had free on such sort notice. The truck is 7m long and 3m high and 2.7m wide and that took them three and half hours to load and 2 hours to offload which is normal.
I have lost my patience with you, you have mentioned legal issues about a double company which i don't understand and when i asked you to explain this, you add legal issues but still refused to explain yourself and went of on a tangent, then you said one of the boxes was almost empty, implying we tampered with the box and when i confronted you on your accusation you could not substantiate it. Then you implied we stole a painting and when i pointed out that i saw open boxes of paintings on truck, you went into a very big story on why and how the boxes are open and half filled and then you back tracked on your implied tampering. Then the painting was found. Just the tone of dealing with you is off. You have levelled so many accusations against my staff and with no proof and the times of prove you incorrect you dismiss my correction and push on with your own narrative. Your move date was moved several times and this was not your fault. The payment could not be made as you had issues with Capitec and capitec delayed a payment form FNB and this was not your fault and we still accommodated all this.
Your last message you sent me you blamed my staff again of theft cause i have a brain and understood from your description that its a duffle bag that is stolen. In your message you said, cause i did not see the bag on the cameras the only way i knew it could be a duffle bag is because my staff saw it and gave me the description so they must have taken it because they knew what it looked like. That is crazy .
In the messages i asked you to give me a description of the bag and based off of your description i knew its a duffle bag.
Im terribly sorry that the move has left you feeling in a disappointed state and that is not what we would like. So i do apologies and once again say we don't have your 1 meter long slender blue duffle bag with cowboy boots that you packed at the end of the move in our possession.
