Movers did not keep to the agreed delivery date causing chaos.
Bad Experience. The moving truck arrived a day before the agreed date for delivery, we were still en route from Johannesburg to Cape Town. They started offloading when we weren't there, just left stuff wherever they wished. We paid extra for carrying up stairs but many of the marked boxes were just left downstairs in the garage, because this was easier for the unpackers. Due to the fact that we only arrived at our home when they had offloaded most of the stuff, we were not able to see if all our boxes arrived. We were greeted with chaos on arrival at our new home. Our extension stepladder was only delivered about a month afterwards and two pot plants with special pots just disappeared, never to be found again. We still don't know if we received all our stuff due to the chaos reigning when we arrived, so the extra insurance that we paid was a total waste of money.

Sorry that your move turned out upsetting you so. That is not how would like to leave you after helping you move so far.
I was under the impression that the move went well, We remained in communcation on whatsapp for months after we offloaded the bulk of the furniture, we spoke all the way till the ladder arrived. So while we sorted out the ladder you made no mention of any of your concerns highlighted in this review.
We could have addressed all this.
We could have sent people out to help rearrange the boxes for you.
We would not be able to offload your furniture without you saying it is ok. If you wanted us to wait for your arrival we would have too, No 4 month after the time you complain on hellopeter in a way we forced you and now you have a line of problems.
If the staff are asked to put boxes in the room they will do so but normally if there is not instruction they will place the items in a garage as it makes it easier for sorting out the furniture inside the house and unpacking of the boxes one by one.
Addressing the insurance you paid for that if there is damage and none was reported on whatsapp while we chatted, no damage was reported in this hello peter post, so in sense you are rite it was a waste of money cause you did not need it.
