Cheated on my barber … Not regretting it

As someone obsessed with consistency, I’m fiercely loyal to my barber. That said, I was genuinely impressed by Khanya at the Vincent branch in East London. I was back home from Johannesburg and needed a cut, so I set out to find a barber I could rely on whenever I’m in EL—and Khanya passed my personal vetting twice.

Beyond the technical skill, his calm demeanour and personalised, easy conversation were the cherry on top. Most importantly, the haircut was exactly how I wanted it. I’ve been with the same barber for three years, so that’s saying a lot.
