My friend was admitted for weeks, his kidneys was failing and he was swelling badly. They didnt do anything for him, they just waited for him to die. He was saying that he cant wait to get out so that he can go to another hospital where someone migh try to figure out what is happening, he was thinking he will walk out there. We still dont know why he got sick or what was going on, we waited and waited until they told us that he is now dead. When patients call for help it takes forever before a nurse comes, many times the other patients has to go find the nurse. If something happens at night, no one will help because they sleep. How can someone who does not care for another life be responsible for the survival of sick people?! If one would lie down in the street maybe someone will help, maybe. In that hospital no one will help and you're left to die by yourself. Miss him so much all the time. He could be here breathing if someone just did they're duties for what they are paid. Look at the staff parking at what cars are parked there, us taxpayers are sending our loved ones there to suffer and die and then we pay for those cars. No one other than God will punish those responsible.

Leratong Hospital should really start sitting their employees down and make them understand that they are dealing with peoples lives and the people's needs come first. I am disgusted by a nurse by the name of Olga who was laughing in my face while I was asking for her assistance when my girlfriend was sick, the other 2 nurses were very kind it's just unfortunate I didn't take their names. That Olga lady needs to be taken into account she is a horrible person and doesn't deserve to be working with people's lives.

On Sunday 23 November 2025 morning early hours of 7am I was admitted at Leratong Hospital, I was so sick need emergency but I didn't get help up until 11am. They took me to ward 14, the staff at ward 14 don't know how to treat patients. They don't care about their patients. I had to stay long hours with drip which is not working. No one wants to fix my drip even the doctors. I had to take it out myself because it was hurting me. I was admitted till Monday 1 December 2025. My body is painful and now I've got few . Leratong Hospital is not a place where you can take ur family for treatment. Staff is rude.

I was never in my life so afraid for the whelbeing and safety of my wife when she was wrongfully admitted to the wrong ward. The psyciatric ward is inhumanly managed. The people have to shower and walk naked from the shower to their beds in front of men and woman plus staff. I can not imagine how anyone can recover from psycological issues in those conditions. They get locked up in a cell if they dont comply. The people urinate and poo in buckets next to the beds. I was shocked and had to convince a whole pannel of people that my wife was not suppose to be there. It was an eye opener of the decay of our society in this country. I would rather die than ever go back to this hospital. I wish to state that one star is one too many if I could give a minus rating I would have.

After waiting from 6am at dental department as appointment was set, we had to hand in our cards at 8 and waited, staff was friendly but what upsets me is that electricity went off and we were told that if it doesn't come back in 30 minutes we will have to be rebooked, that time I came for filling so does this meant the hospital has no backup or is dental department not important really im disappointed because I though Leratong hospital should be having a generator or backup being a hospital or is it because the community must suffer because they are here for free services 🤔🤔

I am very hurt and disappointed by the treatment I got at Leratong hospital. I was mishandled by two male security guards because they didn't want me to seat next to my child in hospital. The hospital staff looked on and nobody was concerned. I am very dissatisfied and unhappy about the treatment that I received. Mabaso and Sangweni from Tough security were told to push me out. They said I can do what I want and even call the police they don't care. I asked them if I am on anybody's way or is there any instructions from department of health stating that I should be manhandled and pushed outside by two male security guards in hospital,as they don't want me to wait next to my son. I will be waiting for your response on this matter and I am taking it further to hello peter. Nnese 0784496911

Ward 12 at Leratong Hospital is atrocious. A lady has been waiting for days pending C-section delivery of her twins only to be told that one has passed and was already decomposing whilst still in the womb,. Their excuse? They’re tending to only emergencies. Mind you, they have heart beat monitors every day but could not pick up the baby was deceased. There’s no sense of humanity in that hospital. Horrible service and horrible people.

What a beautiful, dedicated staff and Dr's and security guards.I felt like I'm in private hospital.I went to Leratong hospital on Monday morning with a swollen leg.I got the and parked in front of the main entrance and the security guy hurried and bought us a whell chair. The nurse came and took me quickly to the casualty area where I was helped straight to P2 ward. The staff the where dedicated and came to assist without minutes and the Dr attended me and sent me to X-ray....The Radiographer was friendly and helped as I was in pain I couldn't get to bed without an assistance. Came back to P2 and they sent me to the Orthropodist.....to look at my scan as I was fractured. The Dr came and assist me and with a professional manner and went to Pharmacy to collect my medication. It was my first experience at public hospital....I must say every staff member there is dedicated ....Thank you very much and keep it up Leratong hospital.
