Reading Olivia's review, it was like a carbon copy of what I experienced. A neighbour was breaking the law and being a total nuisance to other residents. Law Enforcement gets involved and the person got into trouble. A number of residents reported the activity to LE, it wasn't just me. But they were owners, I was renting. They went to Annie McLeland (Lettingworx) and she came after me (technically supporting the ******** actions). Guess what...lease ended. The plus was after I moved and that negative **** style dictatorship over me was gone, my life improved dramatically and I was able to purchase a commercial property in Claremont and now have a landlord of our residence that knows what customer service is. If these reviews don't speak volumes and deter people reading our reviews, then you deserve what you will get from Annie and her gang. Two reviews, speaking to the same ********* treatment......says a lot. I am sorry you went through the same as me Olivia. This person has no business being the the business she is in. But, do you really want a landlord like this? I paid my rent on time every month, minded my own business and even did my own repairs without bothering her. All I got in return was her supporting a ******** and telling me to stop reporting the ******** activity. Ironically, my life is much better after she ended my lease, so in the long run, she did me a favour. At the time, it was a huge inconvenience to move, but wow what a beautiful home I rented for similar money in a much better area. It is sad that someone can have such a vile dictatorship mentality toward customers that are paying her salary. Once her dark and negative energy was removed, I never looked back. I just feel for other that are going through what your family and myself went through and those that will still go through this. Really sorry you went through what you did, but some people are very unprofessional and like treating others like dirt. All you can do is warn others. I will do the same. And anyone reading her response to you can see the narcissistic tone and the hostile under-tone. That reply validates what you were saying and tells other that she will act on emotion and forget business ethics.

Where do I begin? Annie, really are just no words for how we were treated, how our lives were affected so negatively by your choices and actions. I hope that you consider your actions in future so that they do not affect others’ lives like you have done to both William and myself and our beloved Coco who lost her life during the move. We moved into a property and stayed there for 4 years, going into a 5th. We are good paying tenants and spent a lot of our hard-earned cash making the property nicer, I spent about 12k on putting lawn down in the property for example. You hear from Annie when there is a rental increase, according to some of her other tenants they were hounded with multiple phone calls and emails, however you barely get replies when you need items to be addressed from your side. We moved in to pink stained carpets, brown marks and no carpet cleaning service was provided, I organized and paid out my own pocket after my email about carpet cleaning was ghosted. It also took close to a year to get our signed contract back. Our toilet lid was broken when we moved in, that was ignored as well, so we kindly left them with the same broken toilet seat when we left. During lockdown, everyone’s jobs took a knock, I started building a small pet supply business from home and had 3 shelves of stock in my garage, the rest of the junk in the garage was home stuff/ garden stuff. I operated mainly from my mother’s factory and stored just enough for a week in the garage. I had a courier come into the property once a week, if he was already coming into the property for another residence. We then received breach of contract stating I was operating from home, it was rectified within 3 days and I moved everything back to my mums factory and storage. I then had to inform my clients of my delays with orders due to the move and our agent sending us breach of contract email on my facebook page. (No names mentioned and also nobody knows where I live) Annie decided to take this personally and have her lawyers threaten me with legal action. I was absolutely flabbergasted by her behavior after someone’s job had been so severely affected by this and the stock and business issue had already rectified immediately. So something she made personal, her following actions were to inform the landlord of her personal dispute with me and have our contract terminated/not renewed a few weeks after the breach was rectified. All this after 4 years of living and looking after the property so well. She did not act in good faith of being an agent. I wish I had seen the reviews before going into a contract with Lettingworx, the reviews pretty much sum up our interactions as well. The only positive reviews on this page come from Terrance, I hope moves to a more ethical rental agency.

Annie McLelland is the property agent and she is terrible when it comes to communication, she does not respond to any queries relating to the property. The electricity bill is ridiculously high i.e R4000,00 and there is no consistency in that regard, i did request the actual billing statement from the municipality in November 2020, with no luck. she decides on how much to charge you monthly for electricity. the washing machine was not operational for three months and she was advised and she only responded after 4 months, Toilets needed fixing, and you end up paying a plumber to do it and pa out of your pocket because she never responded on emails or WhatsApp. In a nutshell, she does not care about the well-being of the tenants, but the money, we don't even know who the owners of the property are. She is very dodgy. The pre-paid meter was installed in mid September, but she continued to bill me for electricity from October to date amounting to R4000, The lease is ending in November 2021, but she is not saying anything. Just a piece of advice to all, please don't rent a property from Lettingworx , they are not reliable. I am still waiting for my deposit with interest, i am not sure if i will ever get it. Check the reviews firs before committing.

I rented a garden cottage from Annie McLelland the principal of the Lettingworx company. The cottage was located on her property on which she also resided. She entered my private rented area twice without my permission during my absence in a non-emergency setting, the second time despite my grievance which I discussed with her at length after she entered the first time. Upon the end of my lease, I hired a professional cleaning company to do a full end of tenancy deep clean, at no small cost to myself (and by no means a legal requirement for end of tenancy). The company cleaned and I conducted the exit inspection immediately thereafter (the time and date of which was agreed upon mutually between Annie and myself long prior). Annie noticed no damage and was so impressed with the cleaning she asked me to send her the company's details. I handed over all the keys, and she confirmed she would refund the entire deposit minus transaction fees the next day. Approximately four hours later I received a message from her informing me that the sofas smelled, the floor was dirty, and she demanded I return tomorrow and pay for not only another cleaning service but also a full sofa cleaning (they were cleaned - and no mention of dirt or smell made during exit inspection). I was honestly shocked. I had spent all this money on a professional cleaning company, something none of my previous landlords have required, and I have had glowing recommendations from them. I have never not had my full deposit refunded. All this effort, and on the exit inspection it was all smiles. How incredibly unprofessional to message me hours after the inspection, when I have not been present on the property and know nothing of what occurred since I left, and tell me the place is dirty and demand another clean. Forgive me, but I couldn't even help wondering if she intended to use the money she hoped to take from my deposit to clean her own home and sofas. Because I was not present, how could I know? After presenting to her calmly the legalities surrounding an exit inspection, of which being in the rental property business she is obviously completely aware, she finally agreed to pay me the entire deposit (again) minus transaction fees. I then asked her for proof of payment and a statement. Only four days later did I receive the deposit, however, almost R500 was missing. As I could not reconcile how that could be the transaction fee cost, I contacted her via WhatsApp to obtain a statement (which I had previously asked her for before receiving payment but was ignored). Two days later I received a statement that only showed amount paid and demonstrated none of the deductions. I emailed her company address as well as messaged again. I am still being ignored. I still don't know why or what she deducted. It is completely within my right as a tenant to receive a proper statement showing any and all deductions (including transaction fees). Honestly, this is not to go on a long rant. The purpose of this review is simple. I absolutely wish someone had warned me about this landlord. I wish we as tenants are afforded the ability to ask for tenancy recommendations (just as landlords ask for previous landlord recommendations). I cannot imagine the hardships such an attitude has caused her tenants. Had I known she would enter the property I am paying for over and over without permission, or would still attempt to swindle me out of my deposit after a conducted exit inspection, I never would have rented the property. Because no property, however beautiful, is worth it. So I am leaving this review here, so that hopefully someone who is smarter than me and does their background check, can be warned and go into a rental with the full picture. It wasn't fun, but thankfully it's over now. And no, landlords aren't ruined for me, some of them are made out of the best gold there is. Some of us tenants aren't bad either - I still paid full month's rent when I lost my full month's salary during covid. Just go into your rentals carefully people. And know your tenancy rights. If you do, people like Annie won't be able to swindle you no matter how they try. So this is me, doing my two cents to stand up for the fellow tenants out there.

Annie at Lettingworx uses people she asks for a service and she never pay for services rendered. Either she tells you she is too busy to make payments. It is one story after another. We cleaned for her when tenants moved out and cleaned her house she refused to pay. Its almost one year and she is still too busy to pay. One of my employees recorded her shouting racist words to him using the*F* word. I will be sharing the voice record to different platforms to expose her. I thought I was the only one who she has crooked but I have come to realize it is only me. I am having my story published in a local Newspaper so if there is anyone with a payment issue kindly send me a message and I will give you an email address to submit your queries .
