On 28 February 2026, I took my microwave to the LG Electronics Service Centre in Midrand. The unit was fully operational except for not heating. I was issued a quotation of R1,600.00, which I initially accepted. Thereafter, a technician privately offered to sell me his own main PCB at a lower price. Due to this improper proposal, I cancelled the repair and paid the R480.00 assessment fee. Upon returning home, I discovered that the microwave is now completely non-functional. Prior to submission, it was at least powering on. This conduct raises serious concerns regarding both the diagnosis and the handling of my appliance. I require an urgent explanation.
