Very bad service, slow in offering drinks menu and then once menu offered took forever to take order, never-ending bringing the drinks. Other guests arrived approx 20 mins later, same procedure. Food menu dropped off, choices were made and three of four meals ordered arrived. Fourth arrived when basically two other meals had cooled. Then horror of horrors, a clock spring hair appeared in our shared Adriana Pizza When summoned the waiter looked and agreed it was a hair....no apology but would seek explanation. Upon his return he explained that it was a hair and that he would replace the pizza. Our meal had been unpleasantly disturbed and our appetites had been ruined. I was unhappy and obviously upset the bonhommie of the table. No manager, no owner to perhaps offer some type of compensation. Same waiter offered my partner a desert which she accepted. I declined and basically ruined the ambiance of the afternoon. My friend had addressed and paid the bill which he settled I hoped and made him assure me that the hair contaminated pizza was not included in the bill...he said it wasn't but I am not sure that for the sake of peace he had settled it. I don't like the restaurant , the waiter, the service, the management, the size of the salad, the hair. The restaurant will never see me again, and hopefully nobody will ever ask me to recommend it!

The setting under the milkwood trees is quite magical. We had the gnocchi special and the seafood spaghetti - both dishes were delicious. Our waiter Luke was very efficient and friendly. He topped up our wine without being asked - 5 stars. The only criticism I have is the Stracciatella took ages to be served and the R50 cost for one small scoop is outrageous.
