Worst of the Worst
If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. They are ******. Please do not use them to build a Nutec house or a log home. They are the absolute worst. I paid my deposit in February 2026; they communicated well in the beginning, but as soon as I put pressure on them for progress, they ghosted me. They refuse to refund my money or deliver the materials, despite assuring me originally that my deposit was used to purchase materials in advance. Up to date, they have not build one single thing on my site. They are aggressively advertising on Facebook with attractive photos, but these projects are all old. If you hear the names Petronella and Donald, please stay away.

I strongly advise anyone considering this company to think twice before signing anything. I was promised that my Newtech house would be completed within 3 weeks. It has now been over 5 months, and the house is still not finished. The delays alone have been extremely frustrating, but what is even more concerning is the poor and unsafe quality of the work. Basic legal and safety requirements were not followed. The electrician work and foundation were not done according to standard regulations, which made the structure feel unsafe and left me seriously worried about long-term risks. In fact, the electrical work was so poorly done that the electrician wouldn't write me a COC and I had to redo a large portion of the wiring myself just to make it safe and functional. On top of that, communication has been terrible. I have been given countless promises and deadlines that were never met, with little to no accountability. The most unacceptable part of this entire experience was being pressured to remove a previous negative review. I was told that if I didn’t take it down, they would withhold money they still owed me. That kind of behavior is completely unprofessional and *********. Overall, this has been a stressful, disappointing, and costly experience. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I was told building would be done in 2 to 3 weeks. 75% deposit. NHBRC approved.I paid 75% deposit. I have to beg and nag and keep on requesting that material must be delivered. There today and tomorrow is not honourable. NHBRC inspector pitched up out of the blue just to find out their certificate expired. I live in a rainy area and wood is getting damaged. I eventually had to get an attorney involved. It's such a headache. If you want to deal with them don't pay upfront....ask for proof of NHBRC certificate and be patient. They will leave site and go work elsewhere and then return to your site when they ready. It stays by promises and waiting. Quickly to take money..slow to produce. Now we have to stop and wait for NHBRC to be renewed.

Madds nutec and log homes Petronella After i made a full payment in October 2025 to nutec home. Promisses was made it will be done in two weeks. The builders managed to build the outside plus roof the roof sheets was cheap material must be done all over. Always no material to finshed the windows and inside still must be done. Every week to week promises. My house stand still nothing happend. My house paid in fully to her also got the fully paid receipt. What can i do?

Too lazy...
I wish I could leave less the a one star. Wanted the money to be paid. That's was the 21st of november. I am currenting waiting for my hose to built. It's lies after lies. And now they aren't finishing my house as they got another project. Do not use this company. House was supposed to be completed by Xmas 2025. EVERYTHING IS A LIE! my house is an empy shell. I'm taking then to court. No. Septic tank, not to water and no electricity. I have an eldly mother and a young some that I must look look after. From here I'm going to the cops Deirdre

Confirmation Message *Business Name:* *Rating:* 3 out of 5 *Review:* Madd's nutec and loghomes started to build my nutec house in July 2025 in the northern Cape on a farm. I were pleased with what they have done There were a few hicups but nothing too serious. After the building was done it was only the cupboards and wardrobes in the 2 bedrooms that had to be done. From August up to now no cupboards were done Petronella promised that her carpenter would come but after 2 months. we asked her if we can get a carpenter to do the job. We did that but she was not prepared to pay their amount . Then she promised and made excuses for the rest of the third month. Now it is December and nothing happened. I had to move to Northern Cape from Mpumalanga but could not because of the uncompleted house. She promised a sollution but so far there is nothing! I am só disappointed!!

Madds Loghomes/Projects, TERRIBLE WORK DONE!
Their adds are beautiful but their workmanship leaves much to be desired. The finishes look terrible and when pointing it out to them, their response is "well it's the best we can do". These houses are not built by professionals, no electrical certificates supp**** as promised. Water leaking through the built in kitchen cabinets....the list goes on and on. Toilets are built in skew, the place was in a mess after they were done. The houses were not even swept out...I think that would've been the least they could do. I would not recommend them to anyone! Their work is terrible!
