Mafadi Property Management Unfair Withholding of flat deposit after malicious damage of my car in their property
I was a loyal tenant at Trafalgar Property promised us security, controlled access and safety environment in their advert and they were treating tenants with care since 2016 until Mafadi Property took over in 2025 towards the end of the year in a flat unit known as Theo’s Court in Roodepoort. Since 2025 I have had several malicious damages of my government subsidized vehicle and have case numbers from the Roodepoort Police station where I have been reporting these crime incidents. This year in 2026 end of February I left due to another malicious damage of my government subsidized car by unknown person because there’s no proper security in their property. Rental Housing Act stipulates that landlords must maintain security they promised and liable to any damage as there was negligence in some days. My car was damaged in a designated common area/parking several times and I feel they are liable to all these damages because there’s several days where the property gate was not working. There were days when you will find the gate not wide open and not locked intentionally left for those who don’t have gate remotes and sometimes because gate motor broke and the gate will be left wide open putting vehicles at risk during the day and at night. Mafadi Property’s management refused to give me my deposit back. Their argument was “the lease agreement still stands.” I found it very insensitive of them since I have been paying the rent together with parking fee and on top of that I have been fixing all the damages on my car on my own. They are just ****** who are unsympathetic to loyal tenants. The question is, Was I supposed to continue and allow them perpetrator to continue to damage my car while I am still waiting for the notice? I noticed the management and vacated due to safety concerns that I reported several times without them taking an action to help me but still expect me to serve a one-month notice while my car is continuously damaged, yet I was paying for them monthly parking fee. I tried to communicate with Lauren Woodford the Mafadi Portfolio Manager, pressing reasons why I left within a short notice, but her response was that Mafadi owner was not prepared to give me my deposit back and I must leave them a review on Hello Peter. I left their flat premises without my deposit, and they see nothing wrong in treating loyal tenant like that who has resided in their property for ten years. They are so insensitive, and adamant not to give half of my deposit back and expect not to take legal action against them. That’s how Mafadi Property is treating tenants when they left, using whatever tricks against the tenant to forfeit the deposit. They are interested in benefiting and gaining from what is not even due to them. Mafadi Property Management are unsympathetic croocks!

I am resident at Randburg Square Apartment under Mafadi Property Management inspection.We pay rent every month exactly on the due date but we paying for service we not receiving,We walls that have mould inside our apartments,We have stoves that not working, Electricity plugs that are not working, Leakages that not fixed mostly broken doors but there’s maintenance.The caretaker he doesn’t want to do anything mostly he won’t speak to you or give feedback if you report anything .As for the management Lyle King, Glynis King , Lauren Woodford, Ofentse Mohapi and Allyson King they give false hope as if they will come or send maintenance but that’s a **** ,The only time the send maintenance it is when you didn’t pay your rent and person is there to lock you out of the apartment. Hello Peter Complaint – Mafadi Property Management
Mafadi Property Management - The View On Bowling. Persons responsible for my query is Tonde & Lillian - Mafadi managers who don't even respond to emails or call back requests. In my opinion these people are the definition of "useless". I’ve been waiting since November 2025 for Mafadi to replace the cracked kitchen countertops in my unit (E1003) — a defect they acknowledged before I moved in. Four months later, the countertops are still cracked, unsafe, and my kitchen remains unusable. Despite inspections and repeated follow‑ups, Mafadi has still given no confirmed repair date and no meaningful updates. Their internal disputes are not my responsibility & problems, yet I’m the one living with a hazardous kitchen while paying full rent. I now also have to spend additional money to pursue legal action — but justice will prevail in the end. Little do they know the power of these reviews & the impact they have over time. Please if you are looking for a place to live - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Atrocious attitude and service
This company's customer service genuinely is Worse than the government. A simple request could not be attended to. I called was promised someone will call back, no response. I escalated to Manager HENRY received promise that someone will contact me, NOTHING. Followed up a few times, I am still waiting for a very simple question to be responded to. Sad how company can disrespect customer

Title: Mafadi Property Management Still No Deposit Returned, Extremely Unprofessional Service I strongly advise anyone considering Mafadi Property Management to think twice before signing anything with this agency. I moved out of one of their units at Fashion Loft, and despite fulfilling my obligations as a tenant, my deposit has still not been returned. I have made countless follow-ups, sent messages, and attempted to resolve this matter professionally, but I have been met with nothing but empty promises and complete disregard. The person responsible for Fashion Loft, Tonde Mangani, has been extremely unprofessional throughout this process. I have repeatedly been told that the matter would be handled, yet no action has been taken. Instead, I have received excuses, delays, and what appears to be outright dishonesty. It is unacceptable for a property management company to hold onto a tenant’s deposit with no transparency, no accountability, and no urgency to resolve the issue. Deposits are not optional payments that agencies can simply keep when they feel like it ... they belong to tenants unless legitimate deductions are clearly explained. The way Mafadi Property Management handles tenants after they move out is deeply disappointing and completely unprofessional. This experience has been frustrating, exhausting, and financially unfair. If you value your money, peace of mind, and basic professionalism, I strongly recommend avoiding Mafadi Property Management entirely. Based on my experience, you may struggle endlessly just to get back money that rightfully belongs to you. Until today, my deposit has not been returned. Future tenants, please be cautious.
