Mrs A B Kwela purchased a Mahindra Bolero in March 2022. From day 1 there were problems with the car refusing to start, this happened intermittently. There Is a water leak on the thermostat, plus there is an oil leak on the gearbox. The gearbox leak was reported on the 30 000km service. They changed the gearbox seal however on the 50 000 km service it was found to be leaking again. We approached the Motor Industry Ombudsman who said there was no problem.
However after the Ombudsman;s reply the vehicle broke down again and was towed to Umgeni Road Kempster Ford who stripped the wiring and sorted out the starting problem at a cost of over R1 000.00. Mahindra was not interested in helping financially.
On the 4th December the vehicle went in for it's 50 000km service and the gearbox was found to have another oil leak. Mahindra removed it and said it had been sent to the engineer for checking. To date all Mr Dlamini is told is that the gearbox has not come back yet and they have no idea when it will be returned with the report.
In the meantime Mr Dlamini runs his own business and cannot work without the vehicle. Mahindra say they have no courtesy vehicle. This is in spite of us tellling them of his situation they just don't seem to care. The registration no is ND826 007.
