Mrs A B Kwela purchased a Mahindra Bolero in March 2022. From day 1 there were problems with the car refusing to start, this happened intermittently. There Is a water leak on the thermostat, plus there is an oil leak on the gearbox. The gearbox leak was reported on the 30 000km service. They changed the gearbox seal however on the 50 000 km service it was found to be leaking again. We approached the Motor Industry Ombudsman who said there was no problem. However after the Ombudsman;s reply the vehicle broke down again and was towed to Umgeni Road Kempster Ford who stripped the wiring and sorted out the starting problem at a cost of over R1 000.00. Mahindra was not interested in helping financially. On the 4th December the vehicle went in for it's 50 000km service and the gearbox was found to have another oil leak. Mahindra removed it and said it had been sent to the engineer for checking. To date all Mr Dlamini is told is that the gearbox has not come back yet and they have no idea when it will be returned with the report. In the meantime Mr Dlamini runs his own business and cannot work without the vehicle. Mahindra say they have no courtesy vehicle. This is in spite of us tellling them of his situation they just don't seem to care. The registration no is ND826 007.

In February/March 2016 I bought a new Defy fridge/freezer with water dispenserand 5 year guarantee from Pick n Pay Hypermarket Durban North. When it arrived and was set up I started to pour water into the water dispenser and it just gushed out the other end onto my kitchen floor. I went to Hypermarket and sent a Defy technician out who "fixed" it when I got home the same thing happened. I went back to Pick n Pay and another technician was sent out and it just continued leaking. Then the seal inside the freezer started to come out every time we opened it and needless to say everything inside defrosted excepting the middle drawer which iced up. The visits by the repair man kept on and on, eventually before Christmas I was given Defy's phone no and spoke to the manager telling him to fetch this piece of junk. He pacified me and assure me I would be given a new fridge as soon as everyone got back from leave in January. Well yesterday morning the 25th February I was phoned and told my "new" fridge freezer was on it's way. It arrived and midday in 30 degree heat and I had to empty the old fridge wash it down and leave all the food on the kitchen counter. We unpacked the fridge and after 15 minutes plugged it in, the light came on so now it was just a case of waiting for it to cool down so I could put my food back into the fridge. Oh I waited and waited and waited and am still waiting for the compressor to kick in. So here I am R6 000.00 poorer and no fridge in the middle of summer.

Defy this is not on your service sucks.
