Nor Hot water to shower, Again!
this is the third strike for Makiti Wedding Venue, overnight stay Saturday 29th Nov 2025, No hot water for the second time, could only phone in the morning, management did not even provide feedback, "there seems to be a switch off" after my 3rd call, "your water will be hot in 30min". who ever believes an standard electric geyser can heat up in 30min. and then still make it for BB between 8-9 am, so we could not shower, the other time i paid and booked, and Makiti over booked the could not give me a room for the paid day., i'm disgusted in their service. i will not be making use of Makiti again.

Wedding
Had our intimate wedding on the 24th of April 2025 at the Ennyani venue❤️😁. What a beautiful time we had. From the time I started communicating with makiti I was assisted by Angelique very helpful, involved helped with suggestions that made the planning experience beautiful. The deco lady Ananda what a beautiful soul she brought ny idea to life to the tee I'm grateful. On the day Angela was our coordinator what an amazing human. She was so hands on, so patient, so caring... There's still good people in this world 🤞. The DJ Martin 🔥🔥🔥🔥kept us on our feet through out. I would recommend makiti any day❤️🙏

Wedding

The best Wedding Venue to ensure a perfect Wedding Day!
We had the most amazing wedding at the Sunset Venue using the River Chapel. Our Makiti wedding coordinator was brilliant and super friendly and ensured that everything ran smoothly on the day. We could not have hoped for a better Venue to host our perfect day!

Amazing venue
Makiti is one of the most amazing venues to get married in south africa . Everything is provided , you as a bride and groom are hassle free. The food is exceptional. The wedding planner is with you every step of the way . Everything is afford. Thank you for an amazing day makiti

Amazing venue

Bad management, even worse accommodation
Venue is good. Went for a wedding and decided to stay over. The accommodation is as bad as a backpackers lodge. Filthy. Toilets are not cleaned, had to clean it ourselves. Bath tubs are not taken care of. No bath mats on the floor, so you will need to bath and get out onto the filthy floors. No air cons or fans are provided in this heat either. The lady (manager) in charge, is rude, unhelpful and doesn’t give a $#!t. Would not recommend. Rather find something else closer.

We had a fantastic time at Makiti
We were happy. We were very happy. Lets begin with the location, it is beautiful, well maintained, and it is very inviting. The people of Makiti are very nice and welcoming, they treated us and our guests with respect. I especially adored our wedding coordinator, she was very good at her job. The decorations for the reception were a 10 out of 10, stunning I loved every detail, one of my favorite things they had was the starry lights on the roof and the love sign in front of me and my husbands table, it look magical then we had our first dance, and my father daughter dance. The food was delicious, we had no complaints at all, not a single person had the runs, the bartender was friendly was easy to talk to, NOW a special shout out to the DJ. He was amazing, and I mean amazing, he kept the energy going. It was a fun night and I loved my time at Makiti. P.S obsessed with the big bathtub in my honeymoon suit.
