I contacted mr C Nienaber last week to develop a load and tune for my 6.5CM Tikka rifle to shoot small (50mm max) groups over 300m. The initial quote was R3500.00 but with the proviso that any components he use from his own stock will be added to the invoice. I agreed. I bought a box 123gr Lapua Scenar bullets after his suggestion and supplied all the other components like powder, primers, bullets, dies etc. A day or two later I received an email with shot results which mr Nienaber were ecstatic about. It was smallish groups - but over 100m! I replied that it was ok but how will that shoot over 300m. His reply was that it will be the same. I told him pertinently that I am definitely not satisfied and want the rifle to shoot small MOA groups at 300m as discussed. Mr Nienaber then shot a few rounds over 200m and decided that that is fantastic. The shots he was so impressed with at 100m is what we usually shoot over 300m or 400m. He then presented me with an account of R6680.40 and told me in no uncertain terms that the account must be paid first before I could fetch my rifle and stuff. Clearly for mr Nienaber it goes around the money and not the wishes of his client. It goes beyond me that you would rather make an enemy than a friend and fan because of money. Beware when engaging Nienaber to develop precision loads. His standards and yours might differ - by miles. And make sure you discuss and agree on the costs - you might get a surprise with an account DOUBLE the amount agreed upon. I will return ALL my Mamba products bought over the years since I don't want anything reminding me of this man.

The company sells and markets locally manufactured (some seems to be manufactured specifically for them) equipment used in reloading of rifle and other cartridges. I ordered one of their products (as a set) as well as replacement parts that go with the set. When the replacement parts did not fit the original set, I raised my concern with Cassie Nienaber (the owner of Mamba Reloading) and he proceeded to lecture me on what I may and may not do with the products I bought rather than try to fix the problem of the off-spec replacement parts he supplied. He said the only way for me to get the issue of the off-spec parts sorted out was to buy a brand new set or get the brand new and never used defective parts amended by an engineering company myself at my own cost. In my experience, Cassie is rude, arrogant and completely unwilling to fix his errors. Be warned, do not buy anything from this business, and if you do, be prepared for the worst client service you have ever experienced.
