My husband and I have sold a property which we own in an Eco Estate. When a person purchases property in this estate, they a liable to pay a R5000 game fee and a R5000 electricity fee however, Martinique are now charging us as the seller, this fee plus an additional R500 for some obscure and unmentioned interest.
It is my perception that they are either trying to delay providing my conveyancing attorneys with a clearance certificate as i) they are trying to **** more interest out of us, due to the fact that we are behind in our monthly levy payments for which they are charging us a monthly interest, ii) they are trying to **** us with the game and electricity levy or iii) they are just plain stupid and don't know what the hell they are doing.
This is not the first time that they have dealt with a transfer in this eco estate, so I am more inclined to think that they are trying to **** us with the game and electricity levy as well as trying to **** us with additional interest on our outstanding levies.
Needless to say, I have now reported them and their ******* practices to the National Association of Managing Agents.
