My experience with Max Property Group has been absolutely terrible, and the biggest problem is simple: they refuse to refund my deposit. I moved out of their property on 30 October 2025, and more than 42 days later they are still holding onto my R8 200 with no explanation that makes any sense. Every time I request my refund, I am either completely ignored or fed the same recycled excuse that the house “needs painting” (which has been done) something they only mentioned after I moved out and without ever doing an exit inspection, even though I told them I was leaving and was available. It’s obvious they are using painting as a cover to avoid paying back what they owe. The house wasn’t even painted when I moved in and was handed to me dirty, mouldy, and neglected, which I have photos to prove. Yet somehow they think they can ignore my messages and hold my money indefinitely. Their communication is non-existent, their professionalism is shocking, and their behaviour feels like they simply do not care about tenants once they have your money. Based on how they are treating me, Max Property Group has absolutely no urgency, no accountability, and no intention of refunding deposits unless you chase them endlessly.
