This cimpany makes up expenses when its time for them to pay back your deposit. Richard Coetzee is an ********* grandpa who will stop at nothing to make sure your deposit is not paid in full. Terrible way to run business

Absolutely Disgraceful Service – Max Property Group Has No Integrity
My experience with Max Property Group has been absolutely terrible, and the biggest problem is simple: they refuse to refund my deposit. I moved out of their property on 30 October 2025, and more than 42 days later they are still holding onto my R8 200 with no explanation that makes any sense. Every time I request my refund, I am either completely ignored or fed the same recycled excuse that the house “needs painting” (which has been done) something they only mentioned after I moved out and without ever doing an exit inspection, even though I told them I was leaving and was available. It’s obvious they are using painting as a cover to avoid paying back what they owe. The house wasn’t even painted when I moved in and was handed to me dirty, mouldy, and neglected, which I have photos to prove. Yet somehow they think they can ignore my messages and hold my money indefinitely. Their communication is non-existent, their professionalism is shocking, and their behaviour feels like they simply do not care about tenants once they have your money. Based on how they are treating me, Max Property Group has absolutely no urgency, no accountability, and no intention of refunding deposits unless you chase them endlessly.

Absolutely Disgraceful Service – Max Property Group Has No Integrity
My experience with Max Property Group has been absolutely terrible, and the biggest problem is simple: they refuse to refund my deposit. I moved out of their property on 30 October 2025, and more than 42 days later they are still holding onto my R8 200 with no explanation that makes any sense. Maxprop umlanaga evil agents
The umlanaga rocks staff have been managing our complex for years. They have let trustees get away with so much of ******** activities. Such as not paying levies Have allowed trustees that were removed from office come back in and spend our complex ten year maintenance plan. They **** in court that there was no grass around my car after it was damaged by their garden service provider from stones and debrie They contract unregistered businesses that dont follow labour laws and taxs laws. They probably have family in our complex and using this complex as they feeding ground or created a syndicate. They keep increasing there fees and threaten us about increases if we try to reason with them. They keep changing the team that handles our complex portfolio and yet they all work in the same office they do this so that they can delay and forget about issues. Umlanga needs new staff so far nothing good have come out of these people. They know that maxprop will stand for them so they dont take any accountablilty directly. Please log complaints directly to the PPRA should you have simi**** experinces. I would not trust them or take their word for anything. They only in it for money

Maxprop not recommended
Max prop is not a recommended company, they lack professionalism and support. The staff i have dealt with all have bad attitudes maybe other branchs are different but durban certainly carrys a reputation. Even after leaving a review here i see that there are no responses given to these reviews. Other companys which i have had with made sure they call me and provide some support. This company ignores everyone and continues like nothing ever happened. I suggest people on this forum look for other places to expose this company for their lack of customer service. I hope to hear from the regional manager , or someone who takes pride in their work. These bad reviews say enough about this company i hope they get whats coming to then soon if not later.

Maxprop not recommended
Max prop is not a recommended company, they lack professionalism and support. The staff i have dealt with all have bad attitudes maybe other branchs are different but durban certainly carrys a reputation. Even after leaving a review here i see that there are no responses given to these reviews. Other companys which i have had with made sure they call me and provide some support. This company ignores everyone and continues like nothing ever happened. I suggest people on this forum look for other places to expose this company for their lack of customer service. I hope to hear from the regional manager , or someone who takes pride in their work. These bad reviews say enough about this company i hope they get whats coming to then soon if not later.

Max Properties - Grahamstown - Bad service from Chamilla
Camilla from Max Property Group is so unprofessional, unreliable and lacks customer service qualities. I was referred to her by her colleague. I sent her a WhatsApp explaining the type of accomodation I was looking for as well as my budget. She responded by saying she has open units at Aries. She did not even greet me in her response. She only wrote "Aries Nest I have open units" Then I asked a follow up question on whether the units are furnished or not. She never responded to my question and she never engaged with me again. Is this the kind of service she is providing, what assurance would I have in a person like this that she will even be able to resolve subsequent queries I might have after taking occupation of the property. She is arrogant and full of herself and is not doing the brand any good. She does not have manners and customer service skills to deal with customers. She is posing risk to the reputation of the brand.

MAXPROP AGENT - CORRIE VAN NIEKERK - *********** AGENT
Absolutely Disgusting service or lack thereof by an agent of Maxprop, independent Agent or not, he is using the Maxprop brand on his Ads. Maxprop you should seriously look into the unprofessionalism of this individual, Corrie Van Niekerk who is absolutely useless and does not respond to emails or calls, every time you call him he is driving. 1 week later and no response from him on property enquiries. When I finally get hold of him again, a week later he is driving again and his reply was that he does not care as he is indepent agent. MAXPROP SOUTH AFRICA, this is a defamation to your brand to be associated with such *********** arraogant people. If he does not want to sell property, take your ads of the property websites so you don't waste consumers time and effort trying to get hold of CORRIE VAN NIEKERK FROM DURBAN CENTRAL MA PROP.

inability to manage a body corp
currently max prop area acting as managing agents of a body corporate, they have shown little to no interest in actually managing the block, unable to collect levies and consequently the financial situation of the block is in a dire situation. The property value is plummeting and they sit back and watch it happen

Poor customer service, rude staff, not reommended
This company is nothing but trouble. They ignore emails, have double standards with residents (family ,friends or partners in crime). They fail to deliver and when they see that you on to them they victimise you and try color you bad. When in reality they are the ones minipulating the suituations to have their way. I have spoken to alot of their stuff even managers they all one click with dirty tactics to Take advantage of you because you my not have the time , resources or lack of knowledge to challenge them. They will always look for the most expensive inconvenient way to have you resolve issues with them. You cant speak with them they are narcisit and want to control you more than the proper maintaince of your property. If you want to be happy choose another company to manage your property. Or approach CSOS which is a free service to deal with these people. They will always try and push you to see how far you let them go. Dont give them the time of day or a chance to make you a fool. Seek legal advice or approach the courts or CSOS. This company is nothing but trouble. They will make friends who they need to and once they got their click in the complex they dont care less about anyone else. Long as they get paid thats all that matters to them. Do not fall for their tricks to make u believe they are trying to work with u. They only in it for the money and could care less about you and any issues you have with their service. When i approached my lawyers the lady that was suppose to help me told me she worked for them and gave me so many reasons to believe why my case wont work out. So they even have some of thier staff working has property consultants else where. Becareful make sure u get everything in writing. If u do nothing about it this company will grow and force their way into power , take action and put a stop to this whislt you can.
