Actually I wouldn't rate them at all. My mother in law died in 2021 it took 4 years to wind up this small estate one flat which we sold ourselves. I eventually contacted the master of the court and whether it was due to list or not another attorney was appointed with the agreement that MMG would be the conveyancers (much to my horrors). they never reply to correspondence and they have still not closed the municipal accounts even through the flat was sold in November 2024. I have emailed them numerous times but they don't even bother to respond. Old Mutual should not use them to wind up estates they not professional.

Avoid Maynard, Menard, Govender & Singh (MMGS) at all costs. Their handling of an estate was a disaster—months of inaction, zero communication, and endless delays. They repeatedly failed to provide updates, leaving heirs completely in the dark. Despite multiple escalations, they showed no urgency or accountability. Their incompetence caused unnecessary stress and hardship for those involved. If you value professionalism, efficiency, or even basic communication, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

I would like to thank MMG for redeeming themselves in our estate matter. Communication and updates became constant, and the process is proceeding smoothly. A special thanks to Dhereshnee for all her assistance

I responded to a e-mail sent to me. Sonnette responded and said she would would find put and get back to me regarding a matter. This afternoon i recieved a threatening sms. This is unacceptable

I SOOOO wish there where a BLACK NEGATIVE star!!!! This company should be banned!!!! Terrible service. From Mr Mynard Govender right through to his staff. I can not believe that Nedbank put their loyal customers through this hell by having this horrific company deal with the Estates. If only there were a way to report the company to an institution that can help to close it down!!

the worst service i have ever encountered! like all the rest of the reviews, they do not communicate or reply to emails, this has been total hell!!!!!! please stay away from this law firm !!!

Maynard Menon Govender Singh Inc attorneys was appointed by Nedbank in September 2022 (after almost a year passed since nobody at Nedbank communicated about the deceased estate) Now after 9 months we are nothing further. This attorneys are waiting for us to provide them with a document from the licence department, but they just don't help us with the correct letter since the end of January. They only communicate after we have emailed them a lot of times and after a lot of telephone calls. Service is just not an option for them. They don't return calls. They have courier a letter to the wrong address after asking for the address. When we received the waybill from them and told them that there are nobody at home during office hours they said they informed the courier, but still the letter was delivered at the wrong address. Trying to find out where the letter is now and who signed for it, they are to busy to answer our emails and telephone calls.
