McD Training Centre Is Failing Its Apprentices – Stay Away!
I started my millwright apprenticeship with McD Training Centre in 2023, and from day one, it was a disaster. The facilitators were not prepared to teach – in fact, they didn't seem to care at all. Most of the time, we had to teach ourselves. There was no proper structure, no learning support, and no guidance. It was like we were wasting time sitting in a classroom for no reason. The admin side was just as bad. When I arrived, my file wasn’t even ready. It felt like no one knew I was coming. How does a training center accept students and not have their paperwork in order? I was placed at a company for on-the-job training, and not ONCE did anyone from McD visit or follow up with me to check on my progress, my safety, or whether I was even being trained properly. I was completely left on my own. But the moment I was late with a payment, they were quick to threaten to deregister me. So where is the same energy when it comes to providing actual training and support? Now I have only 6 months left before I’m supposed to finish, and there's still no real progress. No trade test preparation, no proper support, nothing. This institution is playing with people’s futures. They’re quick to take your money, but give you nothing in return. I wouldn’t recommend McD Training Centre to anyone serious about their future. It’s been nothing but disappointment from start to finish.

***** ALERT⚠️ 📢 🚨 !!!
HUGE ***** ALERT!! In November I tried signing up for a course for around R7 000, after making the payment, they say due to some changes the new price will be around R9000, after waiting 2 weeks to hear back from them, they say they are closed and due to January I will be the only 1 taking the course, I have to pay R12 000. Which I did, but then after that they wanted to increase the price again in December, or they gave me the option of a full refund, which I have been struggling to get out of them since beginning of December. First they keep ending and ignore my calls/emails. After 3 weeks of no service from them, I finally threatened them to take this matter to lawyers, finally they called me back, asking for my banking details, 2 weeks pass, yet again my calls and emails, whatsapp are being declined, ignore, etc. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN MAKING PAYMENT!!!!! As I am now forced to take this further, I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else!

Extremely bad service
My husband went Sept 2021 for his trade test, after 4 days when it came to the tests it was on a Thursday, they told him they are closing early cause the friday is a public holiday, they will arrange with him a new date in 2022 to complete the test, he got a new date for today and upon arrival he waited almost 5 hours for assistance, the guy giving the training said that he wasnt informed that my husband was coming today and that they lost all his papers, they couldnt even find him on the system, they told him he need to pay another R25 000 and need to come and do everything from scratch again This is unacceptable and pathetic

I completed my trade test at MCD training centre on the 17 NOV 2020 and i still have not recieved my trade certificate it is now past 15 months and still nothing . i have send emails multiple times to find out where my certificate is but the problem cant be resolved amongst their staff and MCD blames merSETA for the hold up of my certificate . i feel sorry for all the people I SEND to them for training .

Hello Peter After I did my training at MCD I haven't received my Certificate. I written it on the 1 September 2021. MCD's facilitator, insure me that I will have my Certificate before December. Yes I did pass it, and have the proof. But back to my point. After many emails and phone calls, they ( MCD) said I must email Merseta directly to ask them. To this date, I have no reply. But it comes back to this. They (MCD) must insure that the students get there Certificate. Why should a student always be on there case for this. It is unprofessional from there side. If I can give anyone that is considering to Study at MCD, don't. You don't need this headache. If any company wants to sent the workers there, Be careful and be on them. Don't pay upfront. (my mistake) They will give you the runaround. PLEASE BE CAREFUL.

MCD training college in Meyerton
Hello Peter. After I did my training at MCD, they keep blowing me off. I was assured that I would have my certification after 3 months. I written and did my final, and passed my course. Yet to this date I haven't received my certificate. And now we are heading to 5 months. 2 months longer and counting. We are already in a new year too. I honestly don't know where to turn. I think that I made the mistake of paying everything upfront. please help. If anyone of MCD training college in Meyerton see this? Come on, MCD needs to speed up things. And if anyone that wants to go study there, think twice, maybe they will let you wait even longer than what I am waiting now. And do pay them upfront. Learn out of my mistake.
